I hid in the basement all weekend.
Whipped out a new personal EDC for myself. I anticipate using this for about a year till I make something else that I have planned.

This is kind of an addictive knife. Ive been holding, using, carrying it Alot the last few days. In various stages of being done. I think it is ...

Thin, .056" Hard, 64-65HRC HSS.
Mesquite and black Vulcan liners. Small bronze and aluminum hardware. Boltaron sheath.

Idk anything about bear skinning....
But a guy at work who hunts, kills, and traps everything, his wife got a bear recently and he used a knife I originally made him for doing detailed work for trapping. I wouldn't think it would be good for dressing bear meat? But he said he worked it for over 5 hours and still remained crazy sharp.....now his taxidermist wants something too? Ugh!

Awesome looking blade!!! I like the geometry. This knife is actually a 3/4 tang blade my friend made and I put the 1 piece handle on and just called it a “bear skinner” because the blade has a spine just shy of 1/4” thick. It has a nice upsweep to it and I cut it to have nice places to put your thumb either way you are holding it. Just needs a sheath now. Here is a pic of it almost finished. IMG_2870.jpeg
