JD Custom Knives Ermine in AEBL with Kepil burl handle scales, lime green liners and blasted finish.
The Kepil burl is super cool and has a gasoline like look to it in the light. It looks really cool under UV light too.

Walking by the Hollywood cemetery and a huge festival thing is happening - couldn’t help supporting a local punk rocker / artist selling paintings and other items.. this is the best time of the year - UF is the best dog walking companion I can think of.

Lunchbreak on day 3 of our Germany trip in the Soonwald.

Beautiful forests

Came across this picturesque little pond

A nice spot to sit down for coffee and some bread.
Brought the Kelly Kettle and the MKM Normar to prepare the wood and the food.

Some curls and birchbark to get the fire going quicklywith my ferrorod.

And after that just feeding some dead twigs was enough for a quick boil.

Coffee is ready

Slicing some of the heavy bauern brot

Apple for desert, nothing beats a Victorinox for slicing aplles

Time to move on

Coffee on our last day in the German Soonwald.
First gathered some firewood in the forest

Getting to some dry core of some dead trees with my noname foldingsaw

I think it's beechwood, it was very hard

Becker BK-9 split it down to kindling size

Back at the campsite the Mora Kansbol made some nice feathersticks to get the Kelly Kettle going

Love those flames, and the kettle whistling, blowing out loads of steam

And coffee is ready

Time to travel back home now....
