As far at the current knife that I'm considering, I'll just leave that to the imagination.


The knife that I had built a few years back? I settled on 300-thousandths of 5160.

I affectionately call it my "APEX Bowie"...







I have yet to run-up on a piece of wood (*green or aged) that it won't split...and I'm around a LOT of Mesquite and Oak.

Just sayin'...

So much I love about this knife. Yes. Just yes. .3 thick 5160 is monster level toughness

I'm jealous, I have the tan glock knife and I wish I had the black one. I stuck a few hogs with it, it's actually a hell of a deal for a tough knife.

Skip the 81 with all those stress risers though and stick (hah) with the smooth-back 78.

Like Opinels and Moras, nothing wrong with having a few Glock 78s around.
