Absolutely LOVELY.

coolbreezy37 coolbreezy37 got me interested in some of MMHW's offerings. I hope to score one at some point.

Like Siegle and Gingrich, you gotta' love a Maker who works with a lot of 5160. I'll take a brutish knife, in .25" of 5160, any day of the week. 😍
I remember he had some cool ones for sale awhile back!

Love the designs and the fit and finish are top notch. Gotta love a parkerized blade. 5160 and 52100 are my favorites.

Massively underrated maker imo.

My only MMHW...

This was before I started Making.

I started by modifying knives.
I almost finished this one....haha

It's the Best battoning knife I've used, but hated the skinny handle....I reprofiled the handle shape and added thicker oak scales... I was hoping to add nickel or stainless pins? Idk

Still a BEAST
next to one of Mine I'm thinking about currently.

*Removed tape from edge for these pics.

Awesome Crag!

Thanks...
Someday, it will look Cool.
I'll probably black out the oak with acid. I did it once already for a knife this last spring for someone
I think It will look nice with shiny pins.
Still needs lots of handle sculpting
Have you ever ebonized the handles? Makes for some pretty impressive black finishes, especially on light woods like that oak.

I would use brass or copper pins but thats just me. I’m sure it will look fantastic no matter what.

I agree, copper is pretty Sweet.

Normally, my hardware I make is a mix of aluminum and Bronze....looks like copper. I like it A lot

Yes, it's really Cool doing. It's very rich looking, you can see all the grain, unlike staining.
I'd like to do it with some furniture....
Unfortunately I gave this knife away, without getting good finished pictures, but here is a progress pic of the handle.
