I went and did it,I got a Demko Armiger from knife center with Magnacut, I wanted a Magnacut blade to try and it is in a fixed blade. I sort of liked the DBK 10th anniversary version but this one is more my style and price range, hope it will be a good one.

Just a quick out of the box sentiments, I like it! Great size, sharp right out of the box, can really move the it around in different grip positions, feels lively, really like the handle grippy material, the only thing is I wish the handle was a little longer, the guard rubs my fingers a little when in a full grip. I also like the blade finish. The sheath is ambidextrous, good fit either way for the knife to go in, nice, quality built, but very utilitarian. What could have made the whole deal really cool? If they added a ferro rod with the same sheath material for a handle or a sharpening stone. A last thought, there is ribbing on the top surfaces of the handle, wish there were some on the underside of the handle too, so when I rotate the handle i have the same ribs to catch my fingers, not a big deal as it is grippy, but it would help. Although that could be a way to tell if the knife edge is up or down. Overall quite a good knife for the money that knife center is offering for a good price.

I rarely see a custom shop as a user, I love it. My personal thing is, I buy coated and then strip them, I like the coating being left under the handle where rust actually can and does form over time if exposed to moisture which all my blades do(get exposed to moisture). A side effect of buying the coated blades and stripping is it's cheaper, but price isn't the reason I buy them.

That one looks like a perfect BBQ or meat knife. 😍
