Give him an ear-scritch for me, would you?
Beautiful knife Dave. The wood and Jasper handle color looks great! I've never heard of Jasper before. Is it a stone, or a dyed wood?
Thanks! Jasper is a stone.Beautiful knife Dave. The wood and Jasper handle color looks great! I've never heard of Jasper before. Is it a stone, or a dyed wood?
Beautiful sunny day with temps just below and later just above freezing. This gave me the urge to get out, so packed my gear and went out for coffee and pancakes in the woods.
Grim tagged along
Brought my tarp, Spyderco Bushcraft UK, Fiskars X5 and the Kelly Kettle Trekker. Prepared the batter at home, brought in in a bottle. That worked well.
This is THE spot

Beautiful knife. What are those scales? Very nice. Doesn't get any better than that.

Not really a stable...they are somewhat scattered in different kits and different rooms and I have an injured ankle. I'll try to gather them and edit in a picture tomorrow. Too many...why I've been selling some Im not using here and there... but off the top of my Head... EMK Rio Real & Bush Hunter, Randall #11-5, Stuart Mitchell P90 Ultralight, Mission MPK, Spartan Enyo, Benchmade SCOP, LT Wright GNS & Next Gen, ESEE-3 & Izula, Buck 119 &102, Cold Steel SRK & Recon Scout n 3V, Ontario MK3 MoD 0, Gerber River Master and Guardian Backup, Ek Bowie, Boker V42, Du Star Arad, Black Jack #1-7, SOG Seal Pup and Pentagon Covert, various Moras, and a couple of Imperial M7s mmodified to be mmore like M3 trench knives, plus a Cold Steel Trail Master and Buck 117 in my locker at work. Geez, no wonder I feel like I need to sell some of themThe number of fixed blades I have has fluctuated greatly over the years, it has slimmed down considerably. This is some of them currently. These have seen everything from killing hogs/deer to processing wood and food and everything in between. I went on a fixed blade edc kick for a long while.
How's your fixed blade knife stable looking?

I've seen your posts through the years, hopefully your ankle heals up quick. I'm interested in the contingency kits! Any knives going in? I have something similar for my sons.
