Fixed blades

I've seen your posts through the years, hopefully your ankle heals up quick. I'm interested in the contingency kits! Any knives going in? I have something similar for my sons. I have stray knives all over as well 🤣
Thank you! I'm glad you lie the posts, and thank you, the ankle thing is a redamaged old injury, I've been mostly off of it for two weeks now, and it's much improved.

Definitely knives in them. A fixed and folder in each. I'm thinking the SEAL Pup for my oldest daughter for an urban contingency kit the serrations could offset her lack of strength in some ways maybe. She works down town. Folders will probably be SAKs. Thinking it will be modular with small kits like this in their bigger, but not big, back packs. Which these kits have bandaides and bleed stop and hot hands in the back pouches just in case they have to ditch or cache the main bag.

And then water, freeze dried foods, eye protection, and emergency blankets etc. in the bag.

I'm not really a videographer our a you tube star, but I've put together a few videos over the last few years to help our customers have ideas for putting these kits together. This one is on ideas for the smmall kits. I'm making the next video on these kits I'm building....and I'm slowly getting better at talking to a plastic box 🤣 It's easier when I can imagine talking to an actual person.

Good stuff! Not sure if there's any super glue in those, but I put it in all my kits. Works for closing wounds better than bandaids, been doing so for 15 years+. I also have those same pouches, they've been lingering around for years and have held up great. You've got the right mindset with the kits and preps, smart man 👍

Thank you! I have given several of these kits to friends and family over the years. These are also including items inspired by some of the madness and unrest I documented in 2020. So I do have liquid bandage in the kits, small spray cans of new skin, which has saved the day when my youngest got hurt 7 uears ago. But they are so far kept seperate from these kits in ziploks in their own area of the larger kit. A friend once had their super glue get busted oen in the kit from a fall. So I'm still looking for the right size aluminum pill fob to put a tube of super in, in the kit. It's a work in progress

This is the picture I edited into my original post #458. My injured ankle ran out of steam before I gathered the all. Not shown are the Seal Pup and Pentagon Covert, the SRK, the Next Gen and the ESEE-3

Here is my Ruike F118.

It would be a huge disservice if I didn’t mention that this is by far and away the best knife for a lot more money than it actually costs.

If $70 was all I could spend on a knife, this would be it. At least if you have Amazon, do yourself a solid. Just order it to fondle. Free returns back so it is no loss to you.

I bet you come back here and thank me.

Every time I take an expensive knife out to use, this thing comes along as well to get the same treatment. I’m no JoeX but I use them. Only thing I did to it was lock tight the screws on the scales.

Trust me, I wish I made a commission recommending it.

Is the Polheim still available?
TRC Polheim, directly connected to this book about Roald Amundsen and his South Pole Expedition. Polheim was the name of Amundsen's camp, set precisely at the South Pole.
