Fixed blades

I'm waiting on another edc sized fixy, should land tomorrow. I have had rmj hawks going back 10 years or so, and I really liked them, so idk why I slept on their knives. This unmei is a sweet blade, I've also never really been attracted to the kwaiken style and I really like it too surprisingly. What a useful blade shape. It carries so nicely iwb. This is a perfect size and shape for carry. It does well in the kitchen too.

Alright Mister, that picture put me on the to be notified when available with RMJ.

FWIW, you owe it to yourself to get a UCAP; I sure like mine.

I am more or less a folder guy. But lately I’ve been craving a nice fixed blade. Something under a foot long with a nice stainless blade and full tang construction. Maybe the BK82 in Magnacut.

The Buck 124 is always a nice choice but they seem to be scarce these days. Then there’s the Halfbreed LBK which is larger than a foot (I think) with a big D2 blade. But I just love the blade shape. I’ll be doing some research today after we put up the tree 🌲

Kinda jealous of people who are just starting the Quest.....

Im curious did they leave about the same amount of thickness at the tip as the unmei.. mind posting a pic of the tip? I'm an odd one 😅

I find for the size and use the unmei is meant for the tip is thick enough for me, I'll use it how I would any other knife and it's stout enough to have no issues.
