Alright Mister, that picture put me on the to be notified when available with RMJ.I'm waiting on another edc sized fixy, should land tomorrow. I have had rmj hawks going back 10 years or so, and I really liked them, so idk why I slept on their knives. This unmei is a sweet blade, I've also never really been attracted to the kwaiken style and I really like it too surprisingly. What a useful blade shape. It carries so nicely iwb. This is a perfect size and shape for carry. It does well in the kitchen too.

I am more or less a folder guy. But lately I’ve been craving a nice fixed blade. Something under a foot long with a nice stainless blade and full tang construction. Maybe the BK22 in Magnacut.
The Buck 124 is always a nice choice but they seem to be scarce these days. Then there’s the Halfbreed LBK which is larger than a foot (I think) with a big D2 blade. But I just love the blade shape. I’ll be doing some research today after we put up the tree![]()
Oh yes. This is just one quest of hundreds I’ve been on. And I agree , the research is absolutely a big part of the fun and enjoyment for me.Kinda jealous of people who are just starting the Quest.....
That part is almost as good as finally getting it!!!
Thanx for sharing your breakfast....Out for lunch... rain coming and going...
Not the best weather to be out
Fistkars X5 hatchet chopped my wood into small sticks and chuncks for my kelly Kettle and hobo stove

First up, some tea.
Rain pouring down, the Kelly kettle is a champ in bad weather... kept the fire going without a problem.

More firewood being processed after the rain passed

Then fried some bacon, smells great, especially combined with the smoke

A couple of eggs to make it complete
