Let me try to explain. I bought a Yakut knife three times. I sold a Yakut knife three times. This is knife number four. The Yakut knife is a very popular brand in Russia. But it is not universal. And you need to get used to it. This knife is good for thin slicing. But God forbid you cut a carrot or a piece of frozen lard in two with it. This knife is good at slicing wood. But a Finnish knife will do a better job.
I will keep this fourth knife for the collection. But this is not the knife that I will take on a hike or fishing.

Thank you for the explanation. I suspected that the geometry would severely limit its usefulness, much in the way a shallow Scandinavian grind does for trying to cut thick food materials.
I still think it is a striking design with an even more interesting history, thank you for sharing your pictures.
