Fixed blades

Good looking blade. What material for the handle?

They do have a "post apocalyptic" appearance. The book ends look like a good pocket carry size.

Thanks.
I've been jonesing to try maroon linen micarta. I think it's going to look real sweat with my bronze and aluminum fasteners I make.
Almost Rich, fancy looking...eye-catching

I like what I see. I'm a little concerned about the handle above the cutting edge.

I think I know what you are going to say, but how so?
-in my head, and I've been doing it a Lot lately, it makes sense.
In an earlier post I commented on how the big sweep I do helps (in my opinion) with pinch grip for kitchen ware. It Also puts material under my thumb for a good, comfortable landing.

Generally, I like thinner blade stock.
So this extra handle material feels good If you have your thumb forward.

Idk Why more knives don't do it.
It hasn't been in the way of cutting. For me. Hopefully others chime in, I know a few who have my stuff and they are hard use with them.

That sweeping curve makes it more difficult to finish my surface. I tend to have little scratches near my handles. Recently I read about a maker here switching to cork finishing be!ts instead of scotchbrite. I'm going to try that. Plus my rotary platen has helped Alot. Hoping my knives start to look Better.

New model I started over a year ago.
A real cutter!
I'll probably be showing it off and talking about It, a lot......."Sideshow" All of us have a freaky side.
This one is Cruwear 62.5HRC, and treated Right. If you know what I mean. ;)

Rough ground, ready for clean up and soft shouldering convex of the shoulders.
-whatever that means? 🤣

Nice ! Really hard to find > 3.5" straight edge'd fixed blades. I like the grip shape too. Should be good also in reverse grip.

It's amazing in reverse grip, that's a big criteria for me on all/most of my designs.

I have a few more Cruwear in this pattern.
A couple Wolfram
A couple CD1
Maybe a wonderful Ingot D2 as well.

Haha.....Just saying. 🤔😬🤪🤣

Great photo!
Can I play monkey for a bit? :)
