Fixed blades

Nice!!!👌

A couple I recently finished.

This is a small edc blade. 4" blade, 3.75" handle, .090" blade thickness in D2. Tried a cross draw pancake sheath and it doesn't fit well on my gun belt. I'll have to make another sheath for this one. Probably with an ulticlip.

This one is more of an out door hunter style. 4.25" blade, 4.25" handle, 1/8" thick D2 blade. Mesquite handle scales.

Looking good...👍

We would do about 90 chicken in a day every year when I was a kid. Grandpa used a stump and hatchet for a while, but then went to sharp pair of loppers towards the end of his chicken killing career😲
That's a lot of bird processing in 1 day! I try to keep it to less than 15 in one session lol we mostly pluck because crispy skin is delicious and that gets tedious, especially on ducks. As far as doing the deed, a larger strong snipper would work well, I use the 1311 above.

Do you have to sneak up on em? How does it work on a bird that big 😂
For the emus I used a well placed .22 to the head and let them get their death kicks out before getting anywhere close. Their legs are so strong and they kick so fast and hard during the departure you can hear the wind whipping sound over the nail on the big toe. Amazing meat and oil though, unlike any other bird I've had.

The chickens were a family affair 😂, all hands on deck. Grandpa had a plucking machine, so a quick dip in boiling water and all the feathers came out clean. Funny thing, there was an emu farm up the road from Grandpa and they had a few escapes 😲

Any love for Marble’s? I grew up near Gladstone, but moved away a long time ago. A few years ago I picked up a few for the nostalgia. Lately I’ve been thinking about putting a couple into use. Seems like a waste of a good blade just to have them sit in a box.
