Fixed blades

I dont edc a fixed blade but the 3.75ish-4.75ish inch blades are my favourite of all categories and knives. And I like you, prioritize or at least lean towards a thicker and stouter blade and tip over sliceability!

Im downsizing and selling a lot of my stuff but here are some of my favourites

Is that a tkell? I been tempted to snag one.

You got good taste in knives and we're definitely in the same camp when it comes to having tips be a little more utilitarian than splinter removal.

It's more of a gentleman's fighter, in my opinion, so it's completely out of character for me, but it's so light and well balanced that it's almost unnoticeable to carry. Still, probably wouldn't be my first carry choice for woods walking, fishing, etc.
Carryability goes a LONG way for me since I edc fixies so often. Some times in the pocket other times in the waistband, shape of the handle, handle thickness, handle length, sheath size and shape all matter. If it's ergos carry well, major points with me.

Which one did you like best, and which one has the longest blade? How's the tips?
I like that one pictured (agent 005) because it has a nice robust tip. So does the accomplice and combatant. The raider is less robust.

Those are the ones I have but they also have bigger and beefier blades. Their beefiest tip is probably on their mercenary

The sun brings out the colors in that Dark Matter CF. Good looking knife.

Except for when my job wouldn't allow it, or jury duty, I've carried some sort of fixed blade pretty much every day for the last 40+ years. Usually on my belt, they're utility tools, and I use them as such. In a SD situation, the fixie becomes a throwing knife, but not in the classic sense. It'd be nice if I could hit decisively, but that's not the point. It's to create a distraction, while I draw the Dan Wesson .45 Commander. My lineman's boots weigh 4lbs each, and I'm 64. Running isn't really an option.

If I could I'd carry a full size fixed like my p&l or bodyguard daily, but they are rather large. I settle for a fixed blade roughly 8" to 8.375" oal with a 4in blade. Some days when attire isnt as conducive I will go folder with a wave. In either setup, if need be, they are distance creating tools. I have a couple incoming that are right in my sweet spot for length and size that I'm eager to put into rotation.

My urban tactical carry is a Civivi/Terzuola Tamashii fixed, and a Kershaw Livewire OTF, or a WE Synergy 2 integral flipper. The WE isn't tactical, per se, but it's a serious palm load when closed, and the Persian blade style can be somewhat intimidating. Mostly, though, it's just a good knife.
