Hell, yeah! If ya got it, use it! I've carved more than one turkey with a BK-5, and a couple with a custom 8" De Leon bowie. I can also say from experience that a SOG S1 is only adequate for cutting the cheese. Aside from that one failing, it's far more than adequate for most anything that requires, or invites, the use of a well built cutting tool.

Got my wife that exact one many years ago, I don't think people who've never had one can understand how good they really are for the money. Incredible value, and laying them flat on a stone to sharpen is so easy. It's great for the wife because she has been known to be reckless with high quality knives lol I grabbed her another mora a few weeks ago when I went down to smkw

Absolutely! I got this one and a pink (plumb?) colored Risberg and let my daughter choose one. She went for the Risberg, which means this one goes into the glove box for a muddy day. I keep a small stash of Moras handy for persons, places or things I suspect will lead to a knife being lost or destroyed. They just work.

I prefer the Kansbol but would prefer a more robust finger guard, which is why I'm eyeing the new Amberg FFG.

Bottom one is fake. I've been wanting to add a 5.5 inch Randall 18 to my collection. Could not find one at an acceptable price, so I ordered the fake to tide me over. Less than a week later, i found s real one at a price I liked and ordered it. The real one actually arrived before the fake. Oh well, I have something to abuse.
