FK2

That’s a great feeling!

Even better when... It's Here!!! :D :D :D

I love the rag micarta! Like a random camo color. I'll have to try for pics tomorrow, it's snowing here at the moment, and the indoor lighting does not do this justice. :(

Handle fits my hand quite well, as I like a generous handle. This knife very much reminds me of the venerable Swamp Rat Ratmandu!

Got my first today, overall first impression is it's awesome.

It's hard to imagine you're holding a knife it's that light.

Edit to add, Eric at Mashed Cat sheathes, his sheathes are kydex perfection

I like mine, too. The unbuffed were a little rougher than I wanted; so I put a little green compound on a chamois & gave them a rubdown. Not up to "buffed" level; but pretty much where I want them.
I've got to pull my FK out to check...I think I might like the original handle a little better.

Cracked open a couple fat birds for the fire today. The FK2 is my new favorite carcass splitter. The EDC does it no problem, but this one is a tad easier with the leverage.

Still shaving sharp after this light duty (which is usually reserved for the cleaver).

Had the FK2 with me on a trip this past weekend, top pic is at Devil's Lake in Wisconsin and the bottom pic is it next to Lake Michigan in Racine. The FK2 without a teklok, it slides in my spare pocket just far enough that you can't tell it's there. Anything bigger, IWB it'll need to go

Couple of questions about the FK2. The black oxide fasteners are all marked up. Anything you can do to coat them black again? I’m for some reason I love the scratches and patina in the blade from heavy use, but the scratched fasteners make it look cheap.

Also, I’ve read that people oil their micarta scales to make it darker and smoother. Anyone here actually do this?
