FK2

I recently received my 2nd CPK knife, an FK2 with grey TeroTuf - it's even better than expected! The grip design is excellent – very comfortable! Except for maybe my matching Behemoth (also w/ grey TT), the FK2 is the sharpest knife I have ever received from any knife maker! Overall quality is fantastic! Thank you Jo, Nathan and Lorien – the FK2 is a home run, and definitely will not be my last CPK knife!:thumbsup:

I've had a lot of time to use my FK2, and I am really loving it. It's nice to have a bit more blade than the EDC for some things, not to mention a bit more handle. The grind is awesome, for most cutty type uses. Having that extra material beyond the shoulder of the edge bevel that a flat grind has can limit your lean angle. The S grind gives maximum clearance, and really useful cutting geometry. The OGFK was much more of a versatile, compact but heavy duty tool, where it's replacement is a much more refined instrument.

Although my mark is on this knife, I can't really claim much credit beyond being an inspiring bastard, maybe. If I were to design a perfect field knife, it would look and feel just like this though

Lorien, I love the FK2, overall I think it is my favorite knife. The handle is a big part of that. The overall usefulness is another. I use it as a tool around the house and whenever I go camping. It’s easy to carry, sharp as shit and works like a champ. I use it for bushcrafty stuff and it works well. You had mentioned an actual bushcraft knife design. If it’s not giving away to much what would you change besides the 90 spine and maybe a scandi grind?

Kbun, I’m in the same boat as you. IIRC, Nathan said those were going off to be HT soon, unfortunately ours tended to be at the end of the run. But I am confident it will be worth the wait. IMO as close to the perfect knife as you can get.

no guard, less curvy handle- like a CPK infected a puukko and changed its dna into a cyborg puukko. Scandi grind has its uses but I'd leave that up to Nathan. Personally, I think CPK can produce a better option than a simple zero grind

rough sketches are promising enough to move forward but it's a far cry from determined at this point
