I've been feeling the "need" to order a 1xAAA light for a while now. I had ordered a Fenix E01 just to have until I decided on a variable output but for some reason my 2 day shipping was being delayed until March haha. Cancelled that and am now just trying to decide on one light. Thanks for all the input in this thread.
I'm lucky because one of the gunshops near me carries Fenix flashlights, and they have some you can try out on display.
Do you have any of the Fenix lights? I know they have been passed by as far as technology lately, but the value that goes with them seems hard to pass up.

Grats on the Ti maratac. The Maratac AAA Ti arrived yesterday. Here's a few initial impressions:
Pro's: fit/finish are excellent; lens is crystal clear and the orange-peel reflector appears flawless; it's light; knurling on the body & head are grippy without feeling rough (I don't think it will abrade my pocket); it's BRIGHT.
Con's: the head twist feels gritty, especially when compared to the silky smooth twist of the EagleTac. This may smooth out with use or it may be a characteristic of the metal (galling), I don't know.
Overall: I like it. It's a fuzz shorter than the D25AAA and a fuzz fatter, but it rides well in the bottom of my left-front pocket (beneath my phone). The function (Medium-Low-High) will take some getting used to, but it provides useful light at all levels.

I've had that Maratac Ti for a few years now. It's the nature of the Ti that makes it gritty. Clean the threads and lube it very lightly. Mine has soothed out a little since I first got it. I have a copper one that is much smoother, but he Ti one is so light that it gets carried more. Great light.
