So if you're like me, flashlights are pretty cool too.

Just picked up this little guy. Was Looking for a mini/keychain light.

Waterproof.

Has 7 functions; High, med, low, SOS, strobe and 2 beacons (high/low)

135 lums on high. There's more powerful for the money, but I wanted the other functions too.

Sucker cranks for a $35 mini light.

Show your flashlights ! (LOL)

I definitely like me some flashlights. Waiting for the new Neutron series from ThruNite for my next purchase. My sister just got me a Catapult V2, right before the switch to XM-L, so I will have to get the new XM-L one, too.

Also looking at a couple of the minis from 4sevens, and some of the others they have.

Nice. Where did ya pick that up at (or am I setting you up for a rules violation?)? I love flashlights also. I'll have to take a pic of mine a bit later.

here is mine with the BK14

i used to be a major hanger on over at CPF... good times. had me one of the first 5W luxeons, wow, bright! and many mcgizmo customs, and all manner of hand wound maglite drops-ins by wayne (still have a handful, and they still work all these years later)...

then i did the back of the envelope math, and figured... about now is when blisterpack lights are going to hit, that are better than good enough, and approaching the customs. so, i sold off all that exclusive expensive junk :>

got me some Inovas and Fenix, and was pretty happy for a while. perhaps i found my hands on a really nicely priced Gladius, and got a few other thingies.

lately though, Jetbeam is my cat's meow. dang. the RRT-0 is a heck of a light. the new model has a magnetic rotary ring, that adjusts from 0 to NNN lumens smoothly like a dimmer switch. dial-a-supernova... i think the NNN is about 255 lumens? off ONE CR123 battery (or use the new lithium re-chargers for extra bonus points) - and with adapter, that same damn thing will use AA batteries. how hot is that?

they have a TI version of that, up to 310 lumens. sick.

there's the M1X which is around 750 lumens? maybe 900 now. i forget. pretty compact and usefully bright, not just stupid bright for the sake of being bright.

like the RRT-3 - that's 1200 lumens. jeebus. ideally runs of 18v of re-chargers, but for a long time, big throw. weapons mounts. for when the zombies come.

i'm just tickled you can wander into a walsmart, target, ems, rei, and walk out with some amazing tech, that 10 years ago, was still something of a pipe dream, considered now to be "ho hum".

i suppose it's bad of me to recognize too many of those (i know a gladius reflector when i see one :>), and still have more than few ... the county comm cmg government models, the AAA arcs... sold the CR123 ARC a while ago... miss than one.

still have one that i don't think anyone talks about... has as surefire L1 head, with a dave mcelvain? custom battery body - thing uses inserts and sleeves so you can use AA, or AAA, or 123 batteries in various combos... the L1 i think runs just happily off 9 volts, forever... i haven't changed the batteries on that in 9 years at least.

even have the very rare, IR and UV AAA arcs. neato :)

that red thing looks a bit like an eternalight. what a wacky flashlight. glad i still have mine. has lithiums, and lives in the fridge :)

Yeah I was amazed at some of the stuff that's out there. I got a $20 "3 million candle power" light at Wally World (one of those giant yellow ones- keep it in the truck) ... Lights up the entire back yard for $20 bucks ! Amazing.

Powernoodle ... you got a couple, three lights there eh ? Holy gamole.

I like my surefire flashlights.

I been wanting to pick up more but my money always gets spent on blades.....

@ Powernoodle thats a damn nice collection, what light is that hitting the house?

i only have 2 surefire and 2 fenix pd20 so far...well, just 1 now. the other pd20 that was in my pocket it somehow fell out of my pocket while hiking last week  anyway, here's my 1 of 2 6p mounted on one of my ar-15s:

Surefire edc e1L and various other surefires but like streamlight weapon lights the best. Anybody got a surefire head lamp?

Photon red keychain light, old Surefire 6p and a couple of Petzel Tac Tikka's.

Ive got a handful of lights, and as im not interested in collecting or the latest and greatest, theyre all users.

In the car ive got a Surefire G2L, at home i use a 6PL. Ive also got a Ledlenser V2 i was issued at my old work which sits at home.

At work i was issued a Ledlenser P7, but im still using my Surefire Z2 + Malkoff M61 untill i burn through my current box of CR123's. Also got a Surefire E1B as backup. When im out of batteries ill switch over to the P7.

Also got the little Fenix on my keychain. The E01 i think?

The pic is of my work lights.

I've got a Surefire 6P LED that I have EDC'd for the last 3 years just thrown in my pocket. It's got some wear on it but keeps going strong.

What is that extension for the 6P a few posts up? I'd like to have one of those!

I have a SF 6P LED and an L4. Used to hav an E1L but i lost it somewhere (still pissed).

However I've pretty much switched to Fenix due to their low cost, good build quality, and superior brightness and beam tightness than my SFs. I have a TK 10 on my AR, an LD20 for home/camp duty, and an LD10 in my pocket.

Just a heads up. I've gotten a couple of emails about Surefire raising prices in the near future. I just ordered this light a week or so ago. Apparently, the price on it is about to double.
Now, that note about 1/30 is just a vendor note. Not sure when we'll see the price hikes across the board at various vendors.
