Flashlights

Bladite,

Thanks for the info.

I just ordered one after a quick search on CPF for some feedback. Sound like they fixed my only gripe. I wanted a lower setting than the 10 lumen preset.

I went with the SMO reflector. Which do you have?

I have OP in my 2 current RRT-0 so I thought I would try something different.

Between knives and flashlights your killin me.

i dropped my fenix pd20 about a month ago while hiking so i just bought a pd31 now. what's a good brand of rechargeable 18650, trustfire or ultrafire, etc.? what's with this new fangled 18650 anyway? should i just stick to cr123a? my surefire 6p led and other pd20 are both cr123a.

edit: yes, i know all about candlepowerforums. that site makes my head explode so i'm asking you guys.

i have whatever is the default reflector. i sold my old one, because i got the fancier one, but i wouldn't hesitate to buy the RRT-0 again, special gift, or special bag :)

if they put the infinite ring on the M1X, that's an easy upgrade too.

for killing ya, there's many more nooks and crannies to explore just in knives and flashlights, then there's other hobbies entirely :)

well, big #1 is: does your flashlight support the current loads that a rechargeable can support? lots of flashlights can't. some googling might help. might not. some vendors are opaque on if they support it. on the OTHER hand, some vendors are quite clear which models they sell do, or don't, and which ones THRIVE. bugoutgearusa might help you decide.

i didn't go with an ultrafire charger, went with the more expensive one, as i'm told it's a better build quality/etc. batteries? the default that he carries.

just checked out bugoutgearusa. i keep seeing recommendations for "aw" batteries on cpf. i'll give them a call next week to discuss which charger is best. thanks!
