First time offered on B/F. These are automatic knives my great grandfather, George Schrade, received a patent on in 1937. They never went into production for reasonsI can only speculate. He died 3 years later. This is unique in that the kick spring also acts as the back spring like a slip joint. The spring is proud when closed but flush when open.
1095 carbon steel
SS liners
Jigged bone scales
Nickel silver bolsters
Comes with COA, box and velvet pouch
$395.00 TYDIMG_3937.jpg

These are gorgeous! What's the size? I'd love to see a video too, please😁

What's the story on these? Are you the maker, or are you having them made? Are you starting to produce them with different cover options in quantity?

I'll take the third from the top Bill.

Here's the "Schrade Rooted in History" video from August 2022 that' still up on Vimeo

Hats off to you and your fantastic, historic Family sir.

As requested the knife is 4 1/4" closed and 7" open. For reference it's the same size as the popular Fish Tail automatic. It's actually the same blade. The unique thing about this knife is the kick spring that fires the blade also acts as the back spring that holds the blade open like a SlipJoint. You can see the spring is proud when closed and flush when open. The spring pushes a cam on the end of the tang to fire the blade.
The original prototype is on the bottom.IMG_3942.jpg

Sorry guys, For some reason I can't upload a video of the knife in action but will keep trying.
