On one hand I'm kinda amped to have such a historical one-off. But on the the other hope it isn't because you may have a real niche market gem to sell!Have to give credit Bill DeShives who disassembled the prototype so I could take precise measurements and reassembled it.

I just realized you're a moderator! I better speak real respectful to you, Sir!My apologies. I misunderstood.
It's an automatic knife that is like no other. The kick spring also acts like the back spring on a slip joint. It does not lock open. The tip is under the latch holding it closed. Pulling the button releases the blade. I have 2 left as shown in the last picture. The takers on B/F sent private messages.Absent a video, can someone please explain exactly how this knife is opened & closed?
I see the button on the back end of the knife. Is that used as the triggering & release mechanism?
I'd also like to know which of the knives in the pic posted at the top of this thread are still available for sale.
The only "I take it" mentioned publicly so far is the 3rd one from the top.
Dibs on the 1st one at the top (the only one that's open), if it's still available, subject to an explanation or video explaining on how the knife works.
Thanks!

I won't have more until February. See video. PM me for details.
So, I respectfully ask, is this going to be a safe queen or something that will be in the rotation?I received my Flying Jack in black jigged bone with a glorious Mother of Pearl button, the bottom knife in the initial photo, and many thanks again....superb little folder and especially with your family history.![]()
I have a question for you. Would you agree while an automatic, it is not a one-handed opener? Respectfully. It's an automatic knife that is like no other. It is not a one handed automatic. I should probably call it an automatic slip joint.I have a question for you. Would you agree while an automatic, it is not a one-handed opener? Respectfully.
