Folder around $600

That is an absolutely gorgeous WH. You have a gem.
Thanks, Locutus. I bought it for a very good price from a BF good guy. It's darn near perfect for opening letters, removing shrink wrap and cutting up boxes . . . the sorts of tasks I normally run into around the office. And if I ever need to send it to WH for repair or maintenance, I've got an E10-1 to fall back on. :)

Rather than reinvent the wheel, I'm going to resurrect this old thread because I'm in the same position the OP was back in April, 2010. I'm interested to see if you guys have made any revisions, additions or deletions to the suggestions you made to him back then.

My requirements are similar to the OP's with the following changes:

1. Titanium frame
2. Stainless blade (S35VN, BG42, RWL 34, Elmax, M390, CTS-XHP, etc.)
3. Framelock or liner-lock
4. Flipper preferred, but not mandatory
5. Non-AO
6. Thrust bearing system (IKBS, STBS, etc.) or equivalent
7. Blade length between 3.0" and 3.5"
8. Overall length between 7.0" and 8.0"
9. Weight not to exceed 4.0 oz (no wiggle room on this one)10. Pocket clip removal doesn't void the warranty
11. No special tools required for disassembly unless included with the knife
12. Build time not to exceed 12 months

I'm also looking for something with a little style. My current EDC is a William Henry B7-FT and the small custom Tighe Breaker is at the top of my list of candidates at the moment. I'd also seriously consider a LionSteel TiSpine, but it doesn't meet a couple of criteria on my list (10, 11).

Lemme know what you think. Thanks :)

Are you nutnfancy? ;)

Check out Pohan Leu's Bluephin. Ti framelock, S35VN, flipper, non AO, IKBS, I'm having a 3.25 blade with a 4.75 inch handle made, not sure about weight, no special tools, all torx, build time is approx 4 months.

Thanks for the tip, Evan. I checked out the Bluephin on Youtube. Pohan obviously makes very good knives, but I suspect even the one you're having made will weigh more than 4 oz. So I'll keep looking. And no, I'm not nutnfancy. :)
