There is a ton of information about the Busse folder in those 2 links.

Wicked Sharp just gave away a TM BOSS Street over there. :thumbup:If 'Ducci were to give away say...one of his Lochsa folders, he'd probably surpass the MUK Death Chat in 15 minutes! :D:D

;)

FOLDER... BRING IT!!!

I've got my coffee and my Colon Blow.

Let's do this.

.

Well, I'm not giving away a Lochsa tonight, so you can go to sleep...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Nothing like a little Wednesday morning BUSSE FOLDER DEATH CHAT!!!!!!!!!!!

.

Hmmm, that is sort of like what mine looks like, but it is a little different. Mine is activated from the top of the spine for the release, not the side.

.

Really? That's interesting. I assume that the actual Busse folder will be different. Otherwise, why wouldn't it have been made already?

So, how bout that folder?

Just rated the thread 5 stars and it looks to now have a 3 star average. To heck with the bitter beavis who rated it lower than a 5.

Esmerelda appears....

... and then ...

See. What'd I tell you? I honestly think she can walk on water.

I saw Esmerelda's face in a waffle today. I think it is a sign... the folder will come.

My allergies are worse today. If I had a Busse folder, I could live allergy free.

I just hit it with a 5 Star and it bounced up one to a Four Star.

I was just at Rick Hinderer's place last Saturday for a GTG, and we spent the afternoon in his shop watching Rick grind a custom spanto blade and build an XM-18. As you may know, for the Gen 3 knives, Rick makes everything in house except the blades. The blades get waterjet cut, heat treated, and double disc ground by outside shops. If Rick can pay for those guys' profit margins and still deliver the knife for $385, then it seems to me that Jerry could do it for not much more. Even assuming that INFI costs more than any other steel, Busse can probably do every single operation in-house, which keeps the cost down. We've seen pics of the multiple CNC machine centers he has. So a Busse folder for ~ $550 seems plausible to me.

I don't need a $500 hard use folder, but that's just me. Let me ask you folder users, how tough does it have to be? Are the XM-18 or Strider folders tough enough? Short of prying open car doors, can you break one of those?

I have said in other threads and to Jerry at Blade, I'm not looking for a door prying, pound thru concrete, indestructable folder, nor a unlimited warrantee, as I don't use folders like that, I have the proper tools to do that kind of work. I would like a one piece titanium frame or at least a two piece titanium slab frame lock with a nice wide 3.5" INFI blade. Other than that, I would just like it to have good ergonomics. Not asking too much, right???

My dream folders are AIRKATs (out of my price range though) but I use ZTs. Hard enough use for me. If Busse puts out a folder I really hope that it will come in a version I don't have to save for a year to get. That's just me though.;)

its a challenge.

like mutating soccer into rugby.

busse has the lock on fixed tough use knives.
but you cant just kick the ball forever

a folder is like rugby.

stop kicking it.
pick it up
and
RUN

Busse Folder = Rugby
