if busse made one, i'd buy one! (probably from dan at an elevated price) jk dan, please continue supporting my INFI jones!

I was thinking the same thing, being cut by an infi folder would make those golden crispy waffles much more delicious

The point isn't that the more you're charged for an item the better it is. You're taking one of his points and applying faulty logic to it. It's a matter of Busse going through whatever it might take (R&D, purchasing different equipment, taking manpower away from other projects to make and service such a product, the time it takes to make one vs. the time it takes to make a fixed blade, etc...) to make a type knife that they don't specialize in and still being able to stand behind it the same way they do their fixed blades.

Dan also pointed out that a folder most people here would buy would have to be in the ballpark of $500, you have that figure blown up to as much as $1500...

Before you start explaining things, I get your point. While a folder would be great to see, and I'd probably buy one, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to go through all that for one run a year, or so, of folders.

Come on man. Let it go. I agreed with Dan's point about start up, and practicality and man power. The only real issue I has is where he claimed you just can't get a good folding knife for under $500. He asked what people would/could expect to pay, saying a good folder is going to cost $1000. Thats just not true and sounds disconnected from what most people consider realistic. He can go out and buy a $1500 folder that never sees the light of day, and I'll stick with my $300 well made folder that tackles everything I throw at it.

No one said Busse couldn't stand behind a folder but apply a different or modified warranty to it. Folders and fixed blades are different animals. We all know that. Just because you dont blindly and without question offer a life time warranty, doesn't mean you're leaving the customer hanging. I wouldn't expect busse to offer the same warranty.

I think an affordable (AKA $300-500) folder is exactly what Busse needs to gain more market ground and introduce more people that dont want or need a $600 fixed blade. "WE" are not the only people Jerry wants to sell knives to. Lets face it, more folders are carried than fixed blades, and right now Busse owns zero percent of that market.

Ok? Ok... Vaya Con Dios. Make folder! Buy INFI! Be happy!

Esmerelda appears....

... and then ...

YES IT WILL HAPPEN

See. What'd I tell you? I honestly think she can walk on water.

Have you ever heard of the Oklahoma State Waffle Championship of '77?

Let's just say a man nearly died, Esmerelda cooked with a broken arm and a bad case of road rash, and despite batter problems, she still came out on top.
It's an amazing story and not nearly told often enough.

All is good...However I was getting alot of PM's regarding a couple of posts...

Who in the world runs to PM Amy rather than voice concerns directly? That's a little weird.

Amy's got enough on her hands right now.

Okay... back to your regularly scheduled programming...
