The Ka-Barley kicks ass. It might bend the caps a little, but not much. I don't really pay much attention as they can't be reused anyway....

Trying a few different ones. The Harpoon 12-pack was the deal at $11 - a 4 pack of the Leviathan IPA was $9 all by itself....

(scale release D/A auto....H&K Scorch. Fun knife)

I love the spring and Rye IPA's. Awaiting SNBC's Ruthless Rye. One of my favorite seasonals (tho the Harpoon is pretty good). The Smutty was outstanding, tho.....gonna have to keep an eye out for quantity discounts.

The Long Trail was excellent; really resinous, hop forward (way forward) full flavor. SNBC Hop Hunter is tickling my palate as we speak. "Brewed with steam distilled hop oil" is what they say. I say "mmmMmm, hop oil...."

Here in PA, we can only puchase beer at distibutors or bars. Up until about a month ago, we could only buy cases at distributors. Today picked up a 12 pack at my local distributor. Well a case and a 12 pack to be honest. Southern Tier makes some mighty fine brew!

The Irish lads I was working with last month told us that the IPAs were the crap people were making in their basements until home brewing was legalized.

That said, I had a Lagunitas IPA this evening, and it was quite good.
