OH WELL, It seems that I have been living in LA LA land, for some reason I thought that my original reply to put my name down did not appear, as my computer was playing up at the time. then I was holding on to finances for a family vacation which I have just got back from. my name is the lonely black on the list, OH WELL. Please let me know if anything turns up with regard to still being included and sorry for the lonely sole on the list.

Rusty. . . .if you really want one, I'll let you have one of the two that I have on order.

Let me know.

GigOne, That is most generous of you, I would certainly like to take you up on your offer, Just let me know how you would to proceed, with the sending of funds.

Thank you,

Rusty1

This is most excellent! Now all of our original troops are present and accounted for!

Rusty,

I can get you in.

Please send me the address where you want me to ship.

Gus

Gus, Thanks very much, GigOne has also offered to let me have one of his knives, as he has ordered two, I certainly do not want to offend anyone by going one way or the other, GigOne, If it is OK to still get the knife via Gus, and you do not have to pass on your second knife, then I will order through Gus as the original plan, just don't want to tread on anyones toes.

Thanks

Rusty1

I don't think it matters who you get the knife from. . . .as long as you get a knife. Never hurts to offer.

So, however you and Bastid work it. . . . .my toes are safe. :D

Just P.M.ed ya Gig.

Don't mean to stick you with two and can take either direction that is best.

Boy I really missed and messed up on this offer!
Is there any chance that there is another extra knife floating around?
I would really appreciate it of there was but I know that I should have ordered this in a timely fashion...DOH:o :o :o

Begging your forgiveness,
Kap:o

Thanks again GigOne, Bastid, There is an e-mail on it's way to you.

No forgiveness, after all I am a bastid. :D

I am sure they will not mind taking another one on when I talk to them tomorrow. Send me your mailing address asap.

Thanks.

Thanks Bastid.........You Da Man....email was sent!

Kap

OHHHH I can hardly wait as I saw that knife at the Shot Show.

Production cost on the knife is set at 71.00.
Add to that shipping to me and shipping to you and we are in at around 78.00.
(Figureing a buck of knife to ship to me and 6 bucks to ship first class insured for 71.00).
We will work out the international shipping on a case by case actual cost basis.

They want a 40% deposit before production starts.

I will be sending out emails with the figures as soon as I get the time and it will not be tonight. :D

You will have the option to pay the 78 (if it is less, I will refund it) or the 40% of 71.00 for now.

Once the money is collected, I will mail them a check and production will be finished 8 weeks from that time.

I make a motion (is it OK to do this in this thread? :) ) that we call it $80, so we cover Sparks knife as well...and a gallon of gas for you to drive to the Post Office. :D

Bill

Thanks for the kind offer.

When we started this, we decided that we were all going to participate at cost + an equal share of a knife for Spark. I would like to finish this the same way we started. :) I am having fun doing this (after all knives are a hobby to me) and want to keep things that way. I've been on the other side as a "dealer" 10 years ago and have no intention of going back there (at least in the near future - who knows what I might do when I get sick of writing software and building websites. ;))

Here is what I am getting out of this:
  • To be honest, I have never "done" a contract knife before. Joe and Wally are great to work with. Each of you has followed through. (I really did not expect 100%.) So it has been a fantastic experience and it is not even over.
  • Knowing that these are going to cyber friends many of which I have the pleasure to meet and establish relationships with, as well as, knowing that these knives are spreading out to the UK, Malaysia and coast to coast in Canada and the States is an enjoyable thing to think about.
  • I am going to get a cool knife at a great price.
Oh yeah, I forgot,
The knives will be etched BFC 2006 and serial numbered (Required by Canal Street). Spark will get #1 and the rest (including mine) will be blind random draws.

I really would like to do this every year or two, with us picking different patterns.

For those who did not get the chance.
Maker: Canal Street Cutlery
Pattern: 2 bladed ring knife
Steel: A2 with A2 nail file.
Handle: Torched Stag Horn.
Etch: BFC 2006 in block letters on main blade.
Production Cost Each: $71.00 Total: $3053.00
People Participating: 37
Each Persons Share of Sparks (71/37): $1.92

I'll pay what ever Gus says for me to pay. No vote needed from me for anything.
