Me too, I sent it this morning, now how long will it take to go 25 miles? GigOne we won't get the knife quite yet, wait till next week, maybe August 31st.:D :rolleyes: Or maybe Sept. 1st.......:jerkit:

Me too, Gig. I was kind of surprised that Gus lives in Nigeria but that is what the email said. Since I send a check, I also wondered why he wanted my Visa card number, social security number, and bank account number. Oh well, I'm sure it will be OK.
 
I was going to suggest here that we all add an extra $2 to the amount that Gus quoted us. The idea was to cover any shortfall that might occur, and if there was no shortfall to thank Gus with all or part of his knife being covered.

But, I know if I do this, it will not make Gus happy.
I certainly don't want to make Gus unhappy as payback for all of his efforts. Besides I know Gus would send us a check for any overcharge. Of course we could tear up those checks if he sent them, but again this would not make him happy.

So, let's get those checks out promptly, but for heaven sake, do not, I repeat DO NOT include an extra $2 in your payment. ;)

BTW I ain't no darn peach, I am former 10-uh-C hillbilly, but I can not use that term anymore since it offends so many people.

Now they classify me as a Appalachian American from 10-uh-c. Now that I live in Georgia everyone of these yokels have learned to hid their farm animals and wallets and it's just no fun down here no more. :)

Your email was trapped in the AOHell spam filter...but I rescued it OK. I don't know why, it didn't even smell like spam?
It did have a barnyard or goat-like odor to it though. :eek:

I guess it is the closest thing to spam that I have ever sent.

"My friend in Nigeria just inhereted a trunk full of knives and he wants to cash in. Send me 78 bucks and I might think about sending you a knife within the next couple of months" does sound a little fishy. :D

Umm don't start your 8 week countdown just yet. I don't think that starts until all the payments are sent in and then recieved by Canal Street.
