for winter, what Buck ya carrying and how cold is it...

The trick to winter driving is understanding you can only do ONE thing at a time.Turn, accelerate or brake. Never 2. And anticipate everything.
Another thing to remember is that with 4WD just because you can go, it doesn't mean that you can stop quickly on icy or snow packed roads. Sometimes it takes people who have moved here from Texas or California a while to learn that.

That reminds me of an old James McMurtry song, called "Holiday". There's a line at the end of the song, "Damn near as deadly as Texans on ice"

the weather guessers,
Ha, that's what I call them too...
27 degrees now high of 33 with some snow this afternoon.

It started snowing yesterday afternoon, but quickly turned into a very fine granular sleet. There's about 1 1/2" of it on the ground, but thankfully, it's easy to shovel. It's going to warm up today, then back down in the 20's, so I'll have to plow the lane, and driveway to keep them from becoming a solid sheet of ice.

Buck 110 Slim Select drop point, storm heading our way for today and tomorrow. We go in for work but get off early before the storm gets bad. I am tempted by the red 110 LT at C & C but I have one in black already.

It's 24 degrees. 1-2 inches of snow predicted for this afternoon & overnight, and more slop for later in the week.

That's a good looking 112, and I'll never get tired of seeing it here.

Today it got up to around 25F by the time I went out for a lunchtime walk in the woods. This 111 was riding in my pocket. Storms coming tomorrow.

Thank you. I've had 110s for about 50 years, but didn't buy my first 112 until a little over a year ago. Me & the 112 just clicked, and I've been carrying one almost every day since then. This particular one's been on my belt for six months now.

It's also 27F here, but we're supposed to get 6-10 inches throughout the day, starting around lunchtime. The kids' school is remote, so they're down in the basement trying to keep Cat the Cat from wandering across their laptops.

I was a little disheartened to realize that our kids struggle with some basic history. We live in Illinois and today is a famous birthday. Really, not just a local hero, but an international treasure.

Happy Birthday Gromit!
