Formal Occasions and what- or IF- you carry

Weddings in NJ are usually extraordinarily formal- the venues are like palaces. All guests dressed in their most formal wear, all the women (not just the bride) getting their hair and nails done...
I almost always end up regretting not having at least a small blade to remove tags or threads from formal wear, little chores like that. But I am preaching to the choir about all that.
Just curious IF you leave the knife behind, and take a look at the two I am considering, let me know what you think.
The first is a Suchat Jangtanong mosaic and pearl, the second an Elementum in damascus.
Interested in your thoughts.

A couple of attractive knives to be sure. Both are visually striking, so if anyone were to see them they are certainly "fancy" enough, for lack of a better word.
In my old drinking days, I'd be more inclined to take the less expensive knives only, in case I was to lose one while enthusiastically celebrating.
Based on that I'd probably choose to take the Civivi, even though I'm not a Civivi guy, but then again, I wasn't invited.

In all seriousness, I'd probably carry a traditional or SAK. A GEC or Case would look great.

You can probably get away with a CEO or Exarch maybe, something slim and small. Kitefin would work do if you want something flashy. Ikuchi, tengu flipper, etc.

Instead of thinking about looks (pocket jewelry), think about what you're going to cut, which I assume is mostly food. Something flat or hollow ground would be good.

The only time I don't carry a knife is in bed, in the shower, or on a plane.

For weddings or formal events, a classy and relatively small knife works best. I still like modern action though. If I had an event tomorrow, I might carry my Civivi Bo in carbon fiber or Kizer Clutch with carbon fiber inlay.

Any of the pocket knives that slip into my pocket or slip. No pocket clips. mnandi, Traditional or SAK are all great options.

Something small, classy, and discreet will do. It is a wedding after all, so you’ll be unlikely to need anything heavy duty.
A nice slip joint is what I would take. 👍🏻
