Forsaken Bacon!!! . . . Here's Our Newest Model. . . The "Whiskey Warden" . . .Coming Wed. 12-6-17

After looking again the pics of those cool whiskey models i KNOW WHY its a forsaken series.

When this series ends, all our money will be forsaken !:D

Only INFI?
It is a nice looking knife and I would have been on board for a SR101 model, but I am going to pass.

I don't mind the care required, and the added benefits of SR101 edge retention means more to me than the toughness of INFI in a smaller blade.
Congrats to those that are frothing at the mouth over this, I can see why, but it isn't for me.

Thanks for the story and info Bossman!

Big brother Dan has procured a very nice, American Made, double stitched, leather pouch style sheath for these.:cool: He has been working on this sheath project for quite a while and this will be the first time that we will be offering it as an option.:cool: They will ship with the knives.

Let's Drink!

Wow. This just gets better and better, Wednesday can't come soon enough :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I'm out. I can't foresee this being the "best selling" knife of O2W. Way too similar to the other models he already offered. A different name isn't enough for me to buy it. C'mon Jerry!

This looks like a great update on the already awesome Game Warden. The handle looks like it will fill the hand a little more than the old design.

I want a bottle of the Busse Combat Whiskey that is in the barrel.
One question. The email states 6.5 inch overall while the specs here state 6 7/8. Could you clarify please? That 3/8 inch is a biggie for me.

So, the question is, why is this new line-up called the "Forsaken Series"?

This name is derived from the many different variations there are of each new knife model before we narrow it down to the final rendition.

It's a long story. . . . but I'll condense it for you. . . Kinda like a Reader's Digest version of an epic tale!

Here we go. . .

Usually, picking the final rendition of a new model is quite simple. We vote on it. Typically there is a pretty good majority for one design over the others. However, there have been a number of ties over the past 35 years.

When we are faced with a tie between two or three knife designs for a particular model, we leave it to the flip of a coin or the roll of the dice! These "Forsaken" designs are usually filed away with little intention of ever being revisited. Recently, while cleaning out my old design room, I came across several boxes of knife patterns that span more than 35 years of knifemaking and design. There are literally thousands of sheets of paper covered in #2 pencil drawings and notes!

Recently, I filed through a boat load of them and thought, "Wow! Some of these are wicked cool!. . . Why have we never made these?" It was then, at that very moment, that I realized I was face to face with the "Forsaken".

So, now what? Well, I did what I do best, and started drinking! A half bottle later, I reached the plain of total clarity and realized that the time has come for these Forsaken designs to be made!

So it is with great pride that we introduce the Forsaken Series!

The first one out of the gate was a fraternal twin to one of our most popular EDCs who unfortunately lost the toss! Many of you know the winner of that coin toss, The Game Warden. What you didn't know was that there was another contender for the crown that we affectionately called the Whiskey Warden. It is the first of many from the "Forsaken Series" that you will have a shot at. . .. Get it?. . . "Shot at?"

Why "Whiskey Warden"? Well this is, once again, a long story. So, here we go . . .

Since much of my inspiration has been drawn from multiple kegs of whiskey, it seemed like the right thing to do was to pay homage to the oak stave kegs that give the whiskey their ultimate flavor. . . So, I took the dimensions of a whiskey barrel and reduced them until they were just the right size for the core of the Whiskey Warden handle!!! Here are some rough drawings as to how this came together. Now, when you handle one of these great little EDCs you will know why it feels so smooth!:cool:

Pretty awesome story too if I didn't say so already! Thousands of papers kinda makes the ol head spin with the possibilities!

If by "similar" you mean that it is made out of INFI and is backed by the best warranty in the universe, then you are correct!

If you're talking about design then I have to ask, similar to what?o_O The original Game Warden? o_O . . . If so, then you are correct once again my friend!  . . . But that was approx. 10 years ago.

It's nearly an inch shorter OAL than the Mini Mean Street and the Park Ranger dwarfs The Whiskey Warden by nearly 1 1/2" OAL with a 4" blade! The Whiskey Warden has a 2 7/8" blade. The sub 3" blade makes it legal in a lot more places than any other blade we have offered in a LONG, LONG time!

There really is nothing that comes close to the compact design of the Whisky Warden.:cool:

Now, on the other hand, if you're referring to the Silent Knight, then I'll have what you're having!

Let's Drink!
