Fort Turner Forge = BAD

Yes it is a shame. Unfortunately, it's the world we live in. Always some jackass that has to push the limits of common sense and/or decency.
Also unfortunate is the fact that, unlike days of old, and mans word of honor...a promise...a handshake mean very little to a lot of people.

These types of people count on the fact that a customer will wait...and wait...and wait. Or will not be knowledgeable enough to start a claim, chargeback or how to go about contacting civil court for restitution. Everyone should do themselves a favor and educate themselves on how to fight back against poor business practice.

Just tuned in here and was seriously considering some hawks from Fort Turner, as they were well spoken of elsewhere(Elmore's site, I think)....anyway, just ordered a Shawnee Throwing hawk and a spike hawk from H&B...up to 12 week wait....which is fine....used AMEX, so if I get jacked over, I'll get my $$$ back....if this thread is still open, will report back either way.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Just got confirmation from H & B that my order shipped today......about 5 weeks from time of order.....will post again when I have reviewed product to ensure satisfaction, but so far, H&B has been good to their word.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Okay, so I sent an email to Ft Turner back at the beginning of November '14 demanding either my order or a refund.

Two months go by.

As of now I haven't received my order and there's been no refund.

I just now made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding this issue.

I got an email back from the BBB saying Ft. Turner isn't replying to them.

Looks like he successfully ripped me off.

As of tomorrow my wait has been 98 weeks.

That's 90 weeks longer than their website falsely says.

Sad to see that Ft. Turner hasn't turned things around. His reputation is pretty much ruined by now, rightfully so by his lack of communication and long, long wait times. He shouldn't be taking money up front.

And he STILL has it on his website that the wait is "about 8 weeks".

So yes, he's still taking orders and still LYING about the wait for orders.

He is taking money for orders and not delivering.

I wonder if my next step is to get law enforcement involved somehow.

If he is knowingly stating 8 weeks when its many past that, this is not merely a broken contract, it's fraud - a deliberate misrepresentation of fact designed to trick the customer into sending payment when the seller has no intention of keeping his commitment.

If the U.S. Mails are involved in payment or shipping method or if payment is by a credit card, federal felony statutes are implicated.

I would seriously consider contacting law enforcement - if not for you than in the interest of the other victims.

Ed: He promises on the Internet to ship via U.S. Mails: "Domestic Orders: We ship U.S.P.S. Priority Mail with delivery confirmation." Contact the nearest U.S. Postal Inspector.

U.S. Postal Inspectors investigate any crime in which the U.S. Mail is used to further a scheme--whether it originated in the mail, by telephone, or on the Internet. The use of the U.S. Mail is what makes it mail fraud.

If evidence of a postal violation exists, Postal Inspectors may seek prosecutive or administrative action against the violator. However, if money is lost through a fraudulent scheme conducted via the mail, Postal Inspectors lack the authority to ensure you receive a refund and can't require that products, services, or advertisements--on the Internet or elsewhere--be altered.

Postal Inspectors base investigations of mail fraud on the number, pattern, and substance of complaints received from the public. The Postal Inspection Service will carefully review the information you provide. We may share the information with other agencies when there is a possible violation within their jurisdiction.

If you feel you've been victimized in a fraud scheme that involves the U.S. Mail, submit a Mail Fraud Complaint Form to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.

The penalty for Mail Frail is up to twenty years imprisonment.

A false communication by the internet as part of a scheme to defraud in "Wire Fraud," also punishable by up to twenty years incarceration.

Showing a pattern of fraud is important to getting the feds motivated and leads to stiffer sentences to prison.

I have placed an order from Fort Turner almost two years ago and still have not gotten it. I have placed two orders with H & B and got the orders. Don't waste your time with Fort Turner. I talked with Mr Turner on the phone and he cursed me out. SO I Will make it a point to ensure no one else is trapped into buying his ghost products.

Update. I got to talk with him on the phone again and still he cursed me. He cursed me out after not shipping my order for over two years. Somehow its my fault that this guy can't ship his product he sells. Still no product from this guy. FORT TURNER IS A TOTAL SCAM. BUYER BEWARE.
