placed my order on Ft turner over a year ago and have not received my product.... please do not endorse this guy Dana's business if you are planning on getting deployed. If he was in my unit i wouldnt count on him for shit....

Fort turner sucks....buyer beware..he got me for 100.00 please check out bbb of northern california.......numerous complaints....doesnt respond to emails phone calls the bbb....takes your money and runs
 
I see where he has updated his site to March 2014 now and still says the wait is about 8 weeks.

I've now been waiting 65 weeks and 2 days.:mad:
 
Please bear in mind that our products are handmade, one at a time, and shipping time can vary dependant on many external factors beyond our control, i.e.: gone hunting, gone fishing, gone to Rendezvous!

well, it says he likes being lazy right here. Or maybe a "Griz" got the guy, and they'll find him clutching his long rifle ala' Jeremiah Johnson somewhere. :D
 
Same with me. Placed a sizable order (and paid) with him over a year ago and nothing. He won't respond to email, nor phone calls. I'm planning to speak with the Siskiyou County Sheriff, which is the county in which he is located (in Hornbrook, CA).

I had read good feedback about him on another forum a couple of years ago and thought he could be trusted. You should read some of the BBB complaints against him. It's happened to others.

That is one of the no-no's we always talk about here. Along with paypal gift, not doing research on a buyer/seller/maker, and poor packaging it will keep the Bad and Ugly of the GB&U in business for a long time...
 
Perhaps someone should drop a few emails to all his "Endorsers" on his website and let them know what this guy is up too.

I sure would love having MY name thrown all around as endorsing this guy.

Sounds like he's having a nice time on up front money from good people.
 
He didn't always have a bad rep. I got a hawk from him a few years back why he is still taking orders is what I don't understand if he can't fill them. There is another thread in the ax and tomahawk forum same subject.

Dana Turner wasn't always like this. I had bought two tomahawks from him with no problems... back when he was still honest.

I've now been waiting over 106 weeks. That's about two years.

BTW... his website still says anyone who orders from him will wait "about 8 weeks".

Dana Turner is a liar and a thief.
 
There is a facebook page regarding his non fulfilled orders. You can brainstorm there as well with folks who've been ripped off. Good luck.
 
Trust me you want to see some action? The most effective avenue would be complaints filed with the Attorney General of his State. Please visit the Attorney Generals website for that State.
