Still nothing. I doubt I will ever see this order. So it is my duty to inform all I can about his business practices and hope maybe someone else won't get ripped off by him.
I'm curious. He took your money, but did not give you your purchased merchandise as of yet. You guys had a business deal. Its been like over two years. Why don't you contact the local Police in his area, and file a complaint for theft? He basically stole your money. Have his ass thrown in jail and dragged through court for this. You have plenty of proof. Also....did you pay by credit card? What do they have to say about this?
UPDATE
I finally got my delivery. He threw in a leather sheath for each ax. He does good work actually. I checked the hardness quickly just now and it is coming in around 60 ish by the Rockwell files. I am not great at testing but that is what it looks to be.
I am in contact with the local Sheriff's office as well as putting an information ad on his local paper. Also I have posting to his towns bulletin board. I sent emails to his wife too until she blocked me. Nothing rude just telling her what her husband is doing.
Not for sure what was the final straw. The last step was the court case. All papers have been submitted and copies sent to his house and business. I will remove the case from the docket now. I had to sign a couple of papers anyway. As long as I don't sent off the last signed papers it won't go to court.
You know it looks like he does good work. I need to take them to the woods and do a chop test. Any issues I will report here for sure. With the hardness testing like it did, I don't really anticipate anything. The handles are nice too. He gets his shipping in order and he could do well with these. Just needs to get over some personal hurdles and take care of business. I placed the order on September 15, 2013 and got them last week about September 01. Took just under 3 years to arrive. I order Busse knives all the time and I know good things take time. Three years is a bit over the top imho. Never know, might end up being the best hawks I have ever owned. I will report the positive here as well. I feel all said and done, that is fair.
I am not saying what I did was the right thing or the ethical thing to do but I was pretty angry over my order. Here are some of the things that I did. I put an ad in the local paper telling the story about how he did not deliver, I did this several times. I put write ups in every local board I could find about his business. Posted on every local business facebook page and bulletin board. I sent emails and text messages on phones to every member of his family and told them about his business practices. I posted on ever forum that his name showed up in internet searches about my story and his business. I posted in his family members facebook pages as well. I sent many pieces of mail to his house. I called him several times a week, every single week non stop. I put out a court order in small claims court in his local county suing him for the loss and amount of my order. These also went to his house and he had to sign for them so I know he got them. I was on a literal crusade against this business and made it a hobby for quite awhile. While I was telling my story a hacker caught it and others and hacked his web site. I guess pissed off the wrong tech person. I had nothing to do with that other than inspiration. I was sent a note anonymously telling me to look at his site. Still dont know who did it to be honest. They never sent another note nor every revealed who they were. I sent notes to every vendor he had locally informing them of his business practices and his soon court appearance over said business. He settled and sent me my order which was all I was asking, I would not accept a refund at this point out of spite. I talked with him on many many occasions and at first I felt bad for him and his medical conditions but as he continued to take orders and continued to read about others, I went on the rant. My original order was for a young soldier in our local area and I ordered it with more than 6 months before it was needed. I talked with him and explained what it was for and he was more than happy to have his name associated with the award. Obviously it never came to fruition in time and I ended up donating several ancient greek Spartan style helmets and some swords which they liked very much in the local recruiters office. Please note I was always extremely polite in every note, every email, etc. I was never disrespectful no matter how much, especially toward the end, he cursed me over the phone. I was the poster child for politeness in all aspects and ways just in case I was being recorded. In all write ups, etc I only stated the facts like what I ordered, promises made and time the order has taken. He threatened to countersue at one time and I welcomed it. I Never gave my opinion or anything not a fact. In the end he called me and ask me to stop what I was doing and I told him only he can stop it by finishing my order. Once he completed the order I stopped all activity and removed everything I could from posted places. I also stopped the court case. I am not condoning this behavior but I was trying to make a point. I found all the information on standard searches and one of those paid personal search things that gave me just about every detail you could imagine about him. Little scary to be honest that we have so much information out there on the net and available for anyone to search for. It's been close to 10 years and I never got my hawk, even after talking on the phone twice with Dana.
Yes I am. I think in this instance people got ripped off pretty badly with no recourse or no actions for the last money. You paid upfront for the products like you do with most websites. Maybe I just accidentally missed this one? who knows. At the time of most of these posting, Fort Turner was still in business and still actively taking orders. Even after I got my order, they were taking orders for a long time. I wonder how many of those orders got fulfilled?"Once he completed the order I stopped all activity and removed everything I could from posted places."
You are still posting here. Karma can be a bitch...![]()
