Let's all take a deep breath.

This is going to happen.

We have a lot of folks participating and life happens. My friend Steven is a "get 'er done" with minimal B.S. kind of guy and that is good since I can be a little more laid back. The mix has worked well and will continue to do so.

All you Non conus guys relax. You are taken care of and I will touch base once the US payment situation winds down.

Steven liten up. It's only been a week or so and people do have things that come up. ....... Lets cut everyone a little slak at least for a little longer than right on the due date.

I'm not a "slak cutting" sort of chap, db.

While I would like this whole evolution to be as pleasant as possible for everyone, rounding up people's money, getting it to the manufacturer, and wrangling the manufacturer to produce is WORK...unpaid work, and those not living up to their end of the bargain make it harder.

Maybe next year, you can be the facilitator of the Traditional Forum Knife and see how much fun it is.

I'll ride the manufacturer to produce if need be, and ride people to "show the money" if need be....when/if it is your turn wearing "the hat", you can do it your way.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Good to see you are doing your part. As I am also a bit of a harda$$ I don’t think me running next years forum knife would be a very good idea or very pleasant for anyone. And I kind of think the forum knife project should make everyone feel good about it. Just a thought a little self control and good judgment gets a lot more done than being a harda$$ all the time. I for one am glad I didn’t see your post before I had busted my butt to get mine out to Gus. I’d probably not have rushed as much as I did if I had. I think I’ll try some of that self control stuff and end my betching and Thank you and everyone that is involved with the forum knife project even those that are a little late on getting their part done. Thanks everyone.

There you go, db, you have a fan already!

Maybe you would find running the 2010 Forum Knife to be relaxing and fun, like the rest of us do.;)

Yes, thanks to everyone, including those who are making extra work for Gus, who already has another enjoyable and relaxing second unpaid job as Moderator at BladeForums....thank you all!

Best Regards,

hehehe.......i shouldn't be throwing gas on the fire, I dont follow these parts of the forum much, but I have notice there was a tremendous amount of work that went into this whole process, and I am surely thank ful having got to be a part of it.

also very pleased to have been able to bump my order to 2 so I could hook my grandfather up who loves his folders and will be very happy to add another queen to his collection.......not to sure he needs it though

so sorry for the attempt in inciting a 5 alarm fire ;)....thanks to Gus, Mr.Garsson, and all whose efforts made this work.

btw, can i send in rolls of nickles for my payment???:foot::D

Hey, just my .02 cents worth here:

STeven shoots from the hip. I like that. I have been enlightened that he shoots from the hip on a consistent basis with EVERYONE. That means he doesn't sugar coat his demands in his dealings with Queen on OUR behalf either. Lets all comply with the financial commitment deadlines as best we can and let STeven and Gus alone as in the end this sh!t is a lot of work for the money. :D :D :D

Doing what they are doing is an f'n labor of LOVE for this forum, so lets all cut them some slack.

I am going out and grab a beer or 3 at the local watering hole right now myself. I'll check back later.

Now Everyone Be Well ;) :D :D

My stuff's on the way Gus, my mom say's I'm gonna be late to my own funeral, (I hope so) :) My name will be green soon.

My M/O and packaging are on their way to Gus.

STeven and Gus, I apologize for any inconvenience that I have caused you two by being late. I did not intend to make this harder for you guys. I very much appreciate all the hard work you two have put into this project.

Thanks again,

Che

To get the tone back on track here.

On the whole things are going well. There are just a few who have not contacted us. There were many notes of encouragement that help, since my workdays are typically 12 to 13 hours and the last thing I want to face when I get home is a few hours of keeping track and double/triple checking, but I will get through that.

One friend even sent me one of those little Spyderco byrds. Cool little knife and well made; took me a while to figure out how to operate it since it had one of those "buttons" on the backspring that releases the blade so you could fold it up. :D.

Estimating the cost is always a little iffy and quite a few enclosed a little extra, which I will refund, but it nice to know if I shorted the cost that there is some support available.

I will start depositing next week (man my hands are sore from endorsing all that stuff) in so that I can send a check to Queen soon.

I keep a master spreadsheet and subset spreadsheets for batch deposits.

Once all the cash is in, I will send a check to Queen (whatever they require) and send a check for the remainder of the money collected to the back up fool who volunteered. It would be used in case I get hit by a truck between now and when the last payment is due (along with a copy of the master spreadsheet).

Thank you all.

IF, there are those who do not honor their commitment to this..... I will take another one to help the process along.

I don't need it, but; I don't want this to be a burden on those in charge either.;)

Thanks for all the hard work !!!!

Good sentiment, and please count me in that camp also. If there's one that still needs buyin' when all's said & done, I'll pick up a second.

Only to help out the group, you understand.

Purely altruistic.

;)

Stop lookin' at me like that guys, my stuff went out Thursday PM.:D:thumbup:

Here's hopin' I turn green on Monday.:)

Yea, He Looks Tired!.. Poor Little Guy.... He must'a been following you for miles!.. :D :D

{as you hear the song in the background sing, .. "It always feels like, somebody's watchen meeee,, and I have no privacy.."} :D :D

I made a decision not to buy 2 knives, but if some are not following through with their purchase, I am in the position to acquire a second knife, if it helps fill the order.
