Fit and finish about on par for a Buck knife. I mean, I can see light between the springs and liners if I hold it up to a bright lamp, but nothing I'd consider a "gap". It's got an odd stripe of what I think Stephen said is epoxy on the elk cover. It'll probably wash off and if not, it's kind of interesting looking.:thumbsup:

Caught up for a coffee this morning with my former landlord....this came for me a week ago....thats right a whole week ago...
Grumble mumble moan groan...talk of marooning...and other maritime analogical ramblings...but then...

Looks like you got two nice ones! Hopefully it was worth the wait.

Mine arrived yesterday. Stag is fairly dark and smooth, I am not a big fan of really rough stag. Pull is moderate, ie just right, and snap is good on both blades. The stag is slightly dished on the mark side, but that makes it very comfortable and secure to hold and use. It is a nice knife all around. Thanks very much to SKblades for facilitating this year's forum knife.

Yay! The person most responsible for maintaining our sanity during the whole campaign finally gets his booty!

My forum knife finally made it through the Canada Post service disruptions. I am happy to say the knife is terrific. Fit and finish, action, aesthetics all A+.

Thanks very much to SK Bkades for making this happen. It will become part of my collection and rotation for years to come I hope.
It is my third Buck slipjoint and the best one to date due mostly to the upgraded steel as well as the overall quality of production.

I will keep Buck and SK Blades on my radar in the future.

I'm still loving my 2018 BF knife, but I've noticed that there is a lot more space at the end of the blade well on this Buck than I've seen on the GEC patterns and a few other traditionals. Is this just the way Buck likes to do it, or is this particular pattern just meant to have more space?

Probably the space left for that third blade in the original pattern?
