I was at the Buck factory last week for the Buck Collectors Club 30th Anniversary get together. During the factory tour I saw two loads of elk antler. They most definitely have dark and knobby and lots of it. I don't think it will be a problem. I came away from the week I spent there with the impression that if Buck says they will do something it will get done...I was impressed with all that I saw at Buck Knives, Inc. Preston

I sure hope it isn't dark, knobby and fat, but more like what was pictured as an example of "dark". I only ordered one because we were assured that the covers would be thin. If it's too knobby, that won't work. I guess I could take a belt grinder to the covers, but I'd be tempted to flip it instead. That would suck, I'm really looking forward to using this knife.
 
My final chance to place an order will need to do some math tonight and see if it fits sadly I am thinking it won't.

Hopefully you can work it out, but if you can't right now, maybe you can wrestle the extra knife from one of the many that bought two. Fingers crossed for you.

I hate to ask this here but need to. When we order will we receive an order confirmation email? The reason I ask is I ordered last night but did not receive any type of email to confirm the order. I just don't want to miss this one.

That would be a question for @skblades
 
I got an email, but it took several days. Likewise the PayPal notification of the transaction. But it would not hurt to ask. Once the purchasing process is closed this year, it's closed.
 
I used a CC yesterday, and got an email confirmation within a couple of minutes. Good idea to ask.
 
I Recieved PayPal notification as the norm right after payment and then right after that one from Idaholifer confirming order .
I’m guessing that should be sufficient?
 
I think I might be the very last to order it! I almost missed out, vacation etc had me moving really slow

I hope it looks this good... the elk is nice and clean
