Forum Knife Updates and comments

Actually, no notifications were supposed to go out. But when you are creating 400+ labels, you sometimes forget to check the box. The behind the curtain look at what is happening on our end is this. We are in the midst of finishing labels, just going straight down the list. It's the only way with multiple of us working on it. Buck says they have a partial order ready, hopefully today, and are working to finish the rest this week. So, basically, some of you are going to be REALLY happy. And others are going to be less happy, but I think still happy. Either way, being at the Mercy of Buck on shipping is slightly stressful, especially since I added several days to their initial date they told me! I figured I allowed a decent enough cushion to be sure to get these out this week. So far, nothing is telling me that we won't be shipping this week, starting today!

Anybody not happy with the process thus far must be impossible to please. Thanks for all the hard work, and Merry Christmas! You'll have earned a good respite by the end of all of this process--the grand end is in sight!

I'm more interested in the knife than I am about a few days or a week difference relative to when my knife might be received by you and ship my way. I agree, going down the the list sequentially is the easiest way to deal with the orders and not miss any.

How manufacturers deal with fairly large orders interest me.... hold them until the entire order is complete or release in partial batches...

In all fairness though, the Forum Knife was bought back in July, so that shouldn't count against me........much.

I just notified my wife of all of my final 2018 last minute knife purchases last week.. feels good to get that out of the way.

I was a pretty good knife knutt in 2018, not too many crazy purchases, but I'd be crazy NOT to have jumped in on this one.

I feel the same way about this knife. It fills most of my "requirements". I am just not familiar with Buck's smaller slippies in terms of what to expect from their end.

I don't think you will be disappointed!!! My 301 sees a lot of pocket time and I carried a 309 all thru Jr/Sr High and beyond for a few yrs!!

Just talked with Buck. They believe all knives will be done this week. So, I'm going to start sending off everyone's email notifications that you have a tracking number. You'll see those roll through this week. Know that your knife may not ship until Friday even if you have a tracking number. Thanks for your patience folks!
 
Just got my notice. Even with the little extra wait it's still exciting to see that notice in the inbox! Getting exciting!!!!!
 
Yay! Received my shipping notice... pretty much in time for the holidays! Thanks everyone involved in making this a reality. You lot are plain awesome!
