I think this is fantastic. Even though you did not get most of your choices, did you "take your ball and go home"? NO, not only did you stay in the game, but you doubled up buying two knives. I appreciate you supporting the forum, and hope that the next time, you get most of your choices.

Waffled about two and wound up going with "just" one. This knife is seriously one of the best deals in the business and it has a storied history behind it that makes it special. It's going to be a beaut! :D

I also thank you for making this happen, and also for letting me in on it. My young son and I have a small knife collection begun by my dad that we have been adding to. My son and I will both be delighted to add this to the collection--after it gets a few months' of pocket time, of course.

the selection was between "rough with bark" and "smooth with no bark". There were pictures in that thread similar to the picture on the order site. The picture from the order site is the picture I posted in this thread.
