i just took some time and ground this blade for an auction here to help out. this is the first sliver fixed blade. blade is 3.5" long of ats34. overall length is 8". it will be handled in either african blackwood or redheart secured with 2 2-56 buttonhead screws. you will have to get your own sheath made but i recomend Kenny Lowe in Arkansas.

you have a chance to help a fellow knifenut in need and also get a one of a kind knife, so how can you lose? please be generous with your bid on this knife as every cent will go the this family. e-mail me your bids and i thank you. i hope this goes quickly so that i can send a bank check to the family. i will heat treat the blade tomorrow and can have the knife ready to ship by monday

my email is therman@kc.rr.com

OK, I can do that too. Here's one of my Narc's in 154cm with Mammoth bone handle. Blade is 4" and the knife is 8-1/2" OAL. I also dont have a sheath for it at the moment, but I will pay for the winning bidder to get one from Survival Sheath Systems, http://www.survivalsheath.com. It's on me.

Thanks for the idea, Tim.

Sorry to see someone go through this...

Can we get some more specifics? How old are the kids? Boys or Girls? With school time coming up maybe if $$ is tight we can round up some great clothes or something. If you can't post this can you email me? Shoe size would be good, etc. Any other specifics on their need and where they are would help. Maybe someone in or around the area knows of a job. Is there anything in specific that they need besides cash that someone may be able to provide?

I just donated a futon, a dresser drawers, two lamps and a couple end tables as well as an older P90 PC with printer to a shelter who gave it to a 16 year old who was starting school and could afford her apartment but nothing in the way of furnishings so I'm wondering along these same lines. Maybe people have some stuff sitting around that could be of use.

I have a small portable copier (Canon) as well as a Brother Multi-Function Center which is an answering machine with 99 vmail boxes, fax, copier and modem that are both in new condition still in the boxes. If the person involved could use them to start a home business or whatever just let me know where to send them.

Any help with the specifics would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Shawn

Thanks Tim.

And Jerry, thanks, you beat me to the punch, I was going to call you about it tonight.

Thanks folks.

IF there will be an auction I will donate a ARC LITE
Here is a pic. It will have a belt loop instead of a tec lock.
Glad to help!

Don,

Send me the address and let me know if the gentleman has a PayPal Account. BTW, How much time do we have? It sounds like we are going to have to move fast.

Everyone that has requested the address has received it I do believe.

I would like to thank all of you and especially you three, Tim, Jerry and Darrel for kicking in what you make with your hands and sweat over to make a living.

I believe the foreclosure date is the 22nd of this month, but I will find out exactly tonight or tomorrow hopefully.

Folks, I'd like to see some kind of specifics before we have all sorts of stuff going willy nilly everywhere. It'd be nice to see what goals need to be met.

There is a Forumite who is about ready to go through a foreclosure on his home. He is married with two children. He has been laid off and lives in an area where there is not alot of work to be had. His Wife has basically suffered the same fate, employment-wise.

As a reference, you can contact porterbob@aol.com for confirmation I'm not making this up. This is a little project we have going and about 4 other people at the moment can be listed as references as well.

If you have any negative comments, please, keep them to yourself.

We will give you a name, etc., if you wish to help out and then you can send the funds directly to the individual.

Added to that, it is going to be over $1,300.00 by the 22nd I believe. 20-something. 22, 24 or 26th, honestly do not recall as I have been scrambling.

I would assume that besides losing the house, because he has two children, they are not in good shape.

Any more info required, or?

This money is NOT going to anyone besides the person in need. I have no desire to be responsible for that. I doubt if anyone would.

I just saw this, hope I am not to late to help out with a D-2 Custom Pikuni with Blue G-10 handles, Tim, Darrell and Jerry are a tough act to beat but the knife is sitting there waiting for someone.

Let's get the bidding started

My Bids
Sliver - I bid $375
Narc - I bid $200
Pikuni - I bid $275
ArcLite - I bid $150

That's $1000 and I can't afford to buy all 4 so let's go guys!
:)
