I have just regained e-mail access here in Kosovo - sorry to arrive late to the party... Two things:
1) How can I get money to our friend in need from here - is it possible via internet or other credit card method?
2) How can I bid on the knives up for auction? Where and how is that happening?

The family will be recording all the donations that come in. We have raised $400 as of today. Keep up the good work. I will continue to keep everyone informed as the information gets to me.
As far as their situation, they are trying to get clothing together for the two kids for the coming school year.
The Forumite started work this week, and he says that it may be a 32-hour week, but he is not complaining. (The job is 55 miles away) His wife is on unemployment and has applied for jobs in the area.
He has $200 from selling his deer rifle to go toward electricity,
and to pay for his carpooling and lunch.
He's negotiating over car insurance to free up a little cash.
He needs to put forth some good faith money with the mortgage holders by the 26th of the month to put off legal proceedings and is negotiating with them.
He is especially touched by the generosity of the knife makers and their offers to auction off their art for his family. His wife can't get over the way that we `Knife People' are coming to their aid.
