No - I didn’t delete anything, but thanks for responding. 👍
Forgive my assumption. I was unfamiliar with any attachments folder or using an attachment method to post pics. I've previously mentioned that when posting directly I always just copy the pic from my files and paste it right into the text box. The only place my pics "live" on BF is in my posts and they're all still there.

I'm sorry if you've lost your pics, but I'd never count on anyone but myself to keep them for me. As far as "second chances" go, we presently have one, though who knows how long that'll last. If I have to resort to a photo hosting site to post pics again I will, but I'll still keep any originals I care to on my own devices.

I'm sorry if you've lost your pics,
Thanks - I haven’t lost any pics either however.

There used to be a way to access the pics that had already been uploaded to the site.

Using the previously uploaded pics in new posts (instead of uploading another picture of the same knife again for a different thread) didn’t cost you any additional storage space, which is why I was enquiring. (inquiring??)

This is likely beating a dead horse but is there an actual timeframe for feedback returning? I have been a member for 8+ years with a lot of positive feedback that does me absolutely no good at this point. Thank you for your time.
You'd have to ask the developer of the feedback add-on.

The lack of feedback scores is hurting the exchange. The exchange is a big reason people pay the premium membership.

For the sake of the forum, can we please get a timeline on if/when the feedback scores can be reinstated? Even if they have to start over, it's worth it for the flow of buys/sells on the exchange.

Leadership is needed. Passing the buck to the software developer is not acceptable.

Respectfully, there's no way you read this whole thread and reached this conclusion, unless you're being ironic. How can anyone "pass the buck" on something totally out of their control?

I've been using the exchange without issue, and traffic there doesn't seem down to me.

I have passed on numerous purchases, personally. I have witnessed "hot deals" that have sit longer than historical precedent.

Why would you NOT want the buyer rating? Can you say that deleting the buyer rating boosts sales? Does adding risk to a transaction boost sales? I don't think so....

If we are clients of the software company then we should advocate for it. That's all i'm saying....

I didn't say I didn't want it. I didn't say deleting it boosts sales, or any of the other hyperbole you're engaging in.

I simply said there is no "passing the buck" and no dereliction of "leadership", and pointed out that those facts would be evident to anyone who read this thread in its entirety to include what "leadership" actually has to say on the matter.

I'm not a client of any software company, I pay like, ONE guy, a little bit of cash to use a forum which I enjoy and lurked on for over a decade for free, and I have used the exchange without the feedback system without issue.

ETA: I don't see any need to crap on that individual for something that I am capable of understanding is totally out of his control.

I bet all the hand wringing gets this thread locked, which is a shame because it's very informative.

MarbReds MarbReds there is no reason to get personal and emotional. I wish only good for you and the people working on the technology behind the scenes. I also love this forum and want to make sure it is preserved for future bladeforums members.

I made broad (not ad hominem) statements based on my experience here over the course of 18 years. I think the economic viability of a forum like this is dependent on a stable population of paying members.

There isn’t, and I don’t intend to do either of those things. I hope you don’t feel that I insulted you and that isn’t my intent. I apologize if I came off too harshly, it’s just been addressed so many times.

You may consider that many people would take being accused of “passing the buck” personally.

Let's take the temperature down a few degrees in the room fellas. If I was reminded of anything this week during the storms it's that there are more important things to lose our shit over.

Thank you.

Ebay
ARFCOM
all have feedback ratings.

But as has been said.
It is not ""Their fault" but a 3rd party developer.

I’ll chime in again, while I realize it’s out of the owners hands and that we are waiting on a 3rd party, I think it would help everyone to give a rough estimate if possible. So how long until it’s restored?

1. 1-3 months
2. 3-6 months
3. 6-12 months
4. 1-2 years
5. Go pound sand 🤣🤣🤣

Also, I joined this forum because I like discussing/learning all things knives AND to buy/sell/trade with other enthusiasts. Feedback is a tremendous help when deciding who to engage with.
