Stunning covers mate. 👌 👌 👌

The case 47 frame is awesome. Stockman, pen, muskrat they are all perfect size.

The large case stockman is very good but I like the 47 just a bit better. Easier on the pocket. I made a belt sheath for the large.

The rough Ryder is basically a copy of the case large stockman. It is excellent. If you want a great stockman on a budget RR does it right

Camillus 884 and #18 too. My 884 is very very used but it's a great stockman. The #18 is the jackknife and it's basically the #67 stock knife with 2 blades

Schrade 8ot because I read that everyone should have one and I can't remember who wrote that here but they were right!

The buck 301 is missing but in my center console. I've only had it a short time but love it... Which is why it's in the car.

The stockman hasn't really proven to suit me very well, but of the various stockman I've had over the years ( a Schrade 34OT was my 1st quality knife) my favorite was the Colonial Ranger 933.
I've had a few and liked this one the best, but just wasn't using it so it got passed along.

It looks black in this one picture I have of it, but it's actually a very dark brown with reddish hints, I've seen some other rangers with this Jigged delrin but not another 933 and wish I had kept it.
These Colonial rangers are probably the best budget slipjoints ever made, and honestly I think they're a bit more solid than the swinden key Schrade OT's but neither are pinned all the way through the bolsters.
I believe I included it in the GAW box, hopefully whoever scooped it up is enjoying it.

Anybody looking to try a good large stockman, you can find the 933 mint in the package for $40 or less on Ebay regularly.

Thanks for sharing, never had a 933… ill look for one 🫡

Looks like a good knife. I’m gonna check it out too. Thanks Hickory n steel Hickory n steel
If I remember correctly they're designed to be assembled without needing any fitting or finishing done afterwards so they might not have perfectly flush back springs or anything like that, but the pulls were good on both that I had and the large full flat ground carbon steel blades took excellent edges.

The Schrade 8OT would probably be considered a slightly nicer knife by most people and Schrades 1095 is definitely harder, but I like these better because of the spey profile and I remember all the blades being a bit broader in general.

The sawcut yellow 933 looks great, and I believe there's a couple NOS on Ebay right now

I think the stockman is a totally worthless design that should never be considered as a knife to carry. It’s so terrible I am on a quest to relieve people of the stress and embarrassment of even being associated with owning one. Anyone who PM’s me I am more than willing to accept your stockman donation so you can get rid of the burden…
