Four-legged friends...

Not to pry, but I have been researching dogos for the better part of a year now and I was wondering what breeder you were working with, either from your original pup and/or the mother of your newborn?

That looks like a fine animal you have there!

Izan I got my original male from Texas he got most of his stock from Argentina and Italy. He was a working kennel that also showed. That is hard to find these days. The bitch I breed my dog to is a 6 title dog comprised of show and field trials. I had alot of offers to breed my dog but held off for this female to earn her titles because I wanted a dog from the litter and do not breed for money only to try and make good dogs. The guy that owns the female is a breeder that is a friend of mine. You can call me at 610 657 9515 email JParanee@aol.com and I will be glad to help you anyway I can.. Becareful where you get one of these dogs .. They are considered a rare breed but they have gotten popular quickly and alot of the other's I have seen have been very dog agresive nd some even people agresive. They are ment to be a large game hunting dog that can hunt in a pack. Overly dog agressive dogs do not lend themselves to this task ( to busy fighting each other to hunt) Sadly some people take good breeds and ruin them by bredding for size not ability or temperment. Always buy a dog from a working kennel.. Feek free to call

Xaman is this a dogo? she is beautiful no matter what she is . And I commend you for taking a deaf dog that is awesome how is she to work with..

No, she's APBT, so she doesn't have the nose of a Dogo... (Your's is absolutely gorgeous BTW).

Iknew she was club footed when I got her, but not deaf (we got he VERY young.) I didn't realize she was deaf until 10 days in. The rescue organization said "bring her back in, no problem."

Big problem --- i have a very sentimental wife and 2 daughters who had already fallen in love with her. There was no way she was going back!

Training was a trip. I was forced to use almost exclusively positive reinforcement, which honestly was new to me. You can't do anything in the way of scolding, or verbal warnings and reprimands. The difficulty is getting her to always keep her eyes focused on me, so I can communicate via hand signals. She's actually pretty good, especially in unfamiliar settings (like the woods) about keeping tight and paying attention. She's fairly good with squirrels. But the wife won't let me turn her loose on a hog, but one day we will stumble onto one, they are just too thick out here not to.

She's a sweetie

People can do wonders with deaf dogs and it seems like you have. It is great that you guys kept her and I offer you my praise .. I think she might have some dogo in her she is very white and I do not see any markings plus her head type. There are alot of white dogs born deaf and she is a beauty.

Joe's dogs are the best and have great temperaments. I don't have a dog so when I need a doggie fix I just head over to his place. Jack loves to have his belly rubbed and comes up to me and nudges his head into my leg to let me know. Tuco is a pup and testing his abilities but slowly catching up to Jack. He's getting used to me but still trying to figure me out. They are very loyal and always glad to see me. I can tell by the wagging tails.

Here's Stan's son at 12 week old . :D
He's not into the Busses as yet, but give him time, the old fella needs to have a word with him about fine knives.:D
