Fourth Of July Buck 110 on Buck Site

I don't think VorpalRain disrespected you 19176. You asked for an opinion and you received one. Now your upset, you are the person who set yourself up for disappointment. Don't mind Makael he gets all pumped and then calls you a troll. I don't think that is his job of policing the forum.
Just to be clear I asked if anyone else was getting one not for an opinion. The opinion was offered but was not asked for.....Read my first two post. The reason I felt offended was why would anyone go off about how they are not worth the money to someone who was posting about them, liked them and asked if anyone else is getting one? That was my question plain and simple. I am done with the back and forth on this and frankly I wish I didn't post anything about it at all.....This is the Buck Forum not general forum so I expect a little more Buck fans here.

We ARE Buck fans.
We're (some of us) only willing to buy their best efforts.
Enjoy your knives. If you like them, that's all that counts.

I like it, should do a Canada Day/Independence Day knife. Since Buck Knives borrowed some design inspiration from Canada purportedly.

I can't wait to see em when they come rolling in.

My ideas are my own and I do support them!!! All knives are my own and have never been tacky and shown others to look better in their eyes. I did get a gift for my opinions but it was worth it.

I like it!! Havent bought a NEW BUCK in over 40yrs.. Wish I had the CASH!!! John:D

My point is that it's just a 110 with cheap red/white/and blue slabs.......there is no added intrinsic value to account for the doubling of the price.

A wise commenter will recognize that every consumer item is a blend of objective utility and subjective likability. What one Youtuber calls the first and second kinds of cool.

One makes a serious blunder by conflating the two. That is, just as the subjective cool factor cannot reasonably be characterized as objective functionality, so too one should not make the same mistake you are making. That is, assume that all there is to a knife - or any consumer item - is its functionality. Whether its knives or cars or women, its how they make us feel that matters most. And just because you aren't feeling it, that doesn't mean that no one else should either.

That knife is a David Yellow horse custom. Not a gas station knife. The yellow horse sells near the 500.00

Guys, stay on topic, cut the insults and sarcasm. It adds nothing to the discussion and drags an otherwise interesting topic into the gutter. Not to mention, if it persists infractions will be issued for trolling and insults. It's easier to be kind than a jerk.

And you will note that I have said exactly that several times on this thread.
If you enjoy fondling and owning and displaying knives like the Elvis knife, that is absolutely OK.
The first kind of cool should never be considered superior to the second--or vice versa.
To each his own, as I have said.

What the heck happened to this thread? I come here and read the threads and usually don't ever see insults and mockery going on in the Buck area of this forum. Kind of a shame some people feel they have to belittle other people's opinion. It's a beautiful 110, just like every 110 I've owned. And I have always thought blue looks so elegant on knives.

First post. I just ordered mine. It will be my first Buck limited edition. I love the look of it. I was planning to order a 110 with nickel silver bolsters and Buckeye Burlwood handles. With finger grooves it was going to be $130.50. I like the patriotic look of the Americana.
