FREE KNIFE GIVEAWAY!! (Yeah, another one ) WINNERS ANNOUNCED!!

Wow Mark! Youre a good guy, I dont care what people say about you! :D Thanks for a chance at a free knife!

I gotta give a big +1 to Mulder for his passaround, I really enjoyed playing with his SHSH!

Since getting my first Busse (about 1 year ago) I have participated in 2 Chop-offs, made friends at the Busse table and the 1500 in general, and learned a heck of a lot more about blades, steels, and bushcraft/survival. O yea, and made a pig hat out of beer boxes.

Really generous of you M67. I really love this place as you do. I have only met one person from the forum so far but intend to meet more when I go to Blade next year or if The Busse Road Show ever makes it closer to New Orleans.

That's awesome. Very cool and generous of you.

Long story short, I have not gotten anything here but a ton of knowledge. And that's fine with me. I've only been here two weeks, after all. Yet I already feel so comfortable--you guys here are fanatics, and there's a whole subculture surrounding Busse, and you all call Jerry the boss or bossman, and it's such an interesting thing to watch since it's so esoteric, and I want to be a part of it. And you have every reason to be knife elitists, yet I get all my questions answered here by friendly people not looking to put me down, even though I just found out nearly all of my newbie questions were answered in Jerry's "Read This "BEFORE" Posting On The Busse Combat Forum. . . . . ." thread (derp ). And I also love that Jerry himself participates. It's so rare to see even a spokesperson or company rep interacting with the clients. It's much more than just a business, I think. I couldn't appreciate this anymore, even though I didn't win anything from Ganza last night.

I think that's it. And I'm not a Weatherby guy... Sorry! No offense, I just don't even know what Weatherby is! :foot:

I am here because one day when I called into the shop for the first time a crazy Janitor answered. I told him, that while I appreciated his picking up the phone - I really had to talk to Amy! He said she was busy and that he would try and help me - best 20 min discussion I ever had :) (and ya - I kind of figured it out after a few minutes and enjoyed myself tremendously:thumbup::D )

And I have stayed because I like the banter, the gracious - honorable people I have dealt with, the great information and amazing knives - and customer service that is more like family taking care of family. What more could you ask for?

Thanks for all the fun and your giveaway is a wonderful thing :)

Great contest. I have a Swamp Rat RMD that I love. Probably the best knife value on the market in my opinion, and while I don't own a Weatherby yet, I get all the use I want from my father's Mark V .300 WSM. I have to say here that it is THE nicest rifle I have ever handled and the .300 WSM puts 'em down.

Thanks for the chance. I love being here because everyone always seems to be ready to help. And all the good humor ect. Its like over on the Scrapyard forums as Skunkhunter would say " It's like crack".

Thank you for the opportunity. I have not had the fortune to have a Busse yet, but I will prevail.

Thanks for the opportunity Mark! Always there when I needed a question answered! :D Hopefully someday I'll have the opportunity to shake your hand and have a drink in your company!

For me I have come to love this place in the last four months, specifically the busse and swamprat forums. When I first got on BF it was to research gear for backpacking and other outdoor activities that I enjoy in my free time. I cycled through some crappy brands and then I discovered what a real knife is and have since developed a true passion for the unmatchable aesthetic and awe inspiring capabilities that is brought to the table by the busse knife group. The truly humbling generosity of the people that I have met here has been a wonderful experience and I can only hope that someday I will be able to meet all of you and have a drink (or twelve).

Thank you very much for the chance.

I browse the Busse forums to learn more about Busse knives and meet cool new people.

I am the proud owner of a Busse Boss Street.

Thanks for the opportunity. I don't hang out here much, having only owned one Busse and one Scrapyard, none of which are still with me, unfortunately, but I'm always struck by the passion and fun spirit here. The forum taught me which Busse to look for and how to get my sheath made.

Didn't know a whole lot about Busse until April of 2011. Joined BF and have been a fan of Busse since!

Thanks for the giveaway man!

This is a very generous gesture~ thank you.

Jerry has my respect for not only making incredible knives, but for being a stand-up guy. I remember how kind he was to the HI family when both of our moderators, Uncle Bill and Rusty, died 13 hours apart. Jerry made two kukuris to auction off and gave the proceeds to the family to help with their expenses. Actions like that....I've only had the pleasure of talking to Jerry a couple of times at BLADE shows, but he'll always have my loyalty. For when the Great Zombie Apocalypse Happens. ;)

I regretfully only have one Busse family offering, a SR Waki, at the moment. But I'll get more, when the time is right. :)

Cheers,

John Shirley

I've been scanning over the forum for a while now. I'm looking into getting my first BUSSE knife soon. Its a lot of money to drop on a blade but if anything I've heard is true they're worth it. Thanks for the chance to win my first Scrapyard/Busse/Swamp Rat knife ever! I'm not really into weatherbys...I've just never owned one. I use mainly rugers. If I get picked second please pass the hat on to someone else who will wear it.

I am in. Thanks for the chance! I have always liked Busse Combat knives and Bussekins but here in old Europe I didnt have a chance to even hold them and check them out in person until one local knife show one year ago. I held BATACLE that time and I was so impressed that I had to have a Busse in the future. I am student so funds are tight but I try to save here and there and after months I can buy what I really want. After one year i was able to score beautiful SJTACLE here and I was immediately hooked. Now I have BOSS Street also and I cant wait to score more of these blades. They really are outstanding, after handling busse I dont want other knives so much. Thats my story.

No trench knife here. Not legal where I live (at least that is my understanding after reading the statute).

One of my favorite rifles is a Weatherby Mark V in 22-250. It is my dads (he picked it up for less that the scope on it was worth!!!! But that is another story).

I would not mind a nice thin light skelly knife.

Here is a video of me throwing my very first Busse. A modded FBMLE (hand shaped mags, un sharpened swedge added, and edge convexed).

I will have to fix the other video's later. I don't know why these video's are only giving a link, and not embedded. I can't figure it out since the forum changed.
For some reason the video's are not working any more??? I will have to try and figure that out later.
