Free Knifes For ALL

I get what you're saying, OP, but you are WAY off in assuming everyone here(and all they know) has as much time and energy as you :p

No way in heck am I going to go through all of that, and especially when I know it will do no good at all.
For what you are saying to work it would take more than you think.
If every person that read this thread did that it wouldn't affect them at all.

Read it. Now wish I could un read it.

You still have a counterfeit knife.

Is it a form of stealing? Yes, I feel it is. You know the knives are counterfeit. You ordered them, knowing you were going to keep them, and demand a refund.

Skumbag Steve move.

I can only imagine what that looked like before Esav got to it. Thank you for that.

Unless I misread, he destroyed the counterfeit. As long as that's the case, nobody profited and another counterfeit is off the street.

I'm not throwing him a parade or anything, but I don't really have a moral objection. Legally, I'm not going to comment in any way.

They already countered your strategy by changing the listing names. Now they can say that they didn't claim it's a Strider, or Hinderer, or Medford, or Brous. All they said is its a D2 tactical hunting knife. I see one that is as tricky as saying its a "Stride" instead of a Strider.

I guess you did have one real success... It'll now be slightly harder for people to find the knockoffs because no one can search "Hinderer" and get a knockoff Hinderer. They have to find it by scrolling through "D2 knife" search results.

I did. I shouldn't have.

The proposal is to buy counterfeits off the "usual suspects," use their counterfeit guarantee to get your money back, then to smash the knife with a hammer and post pictures here.

Got it now. So, then...

Plan A: Buy counterfeits off the "usual suspects," use their counterfeit guarantee to get my money back, then smash them with a hammer and post pictures here.

Plan B: Do anything else.

Not sure why I wouldn't pick Plan B.

It sounds a little shady to me. I first though you were posting about buying knockoffs then trading them to try and get the real deal from someone. Well kudos for trying to stick it to the clone makers, would be a little too much effort for me. I refuse to have any dealings with these fake makers.

Not enough actual discussion of the knives so we're headed to Feedback.

I will not crucify or congratulate you.

Op I do hope you destroy the clones, if not then shame on you.

For the rest of the posters. At least he (the OP) is fighting the fight, and from what I read later the OP forced a change in the scammers tactics making it harder to search them out. So IMO the OP has done more to fight counterfits than any single individual posting here...........so get off your A's and fight the fight or quiet yourselves and move along.

All of this just sounds like some guy who wanted to score some free knives and developed a conscience when he found the knives were crap.

Heck, the thread is titled "Free Knives for ALL". Its not "How to get back at the ripoff sellers." now, is it?

Sounds like he enjoying the Sebenza ripoff though....

The “small Sebenza” is a fun little knife to play with.

Oh dear LORD...............Have we nothing better to do with our days..Save your money and buy a REAL knife..........geeeesh..........
FULLY agreed..........Shame...Shame....:thumbdn:

While I wouldn't do what the OP did (i have kids, therefore, no free time). It sure isn't stealing. He's holding them to their policy. What he is doing is premeditated, with the intention of not paying for goods delivered. While their intention is straight up fraud. Maybe they are equally low, but the policy is on the OP's side. Wouldn't you love to stick it to a nigerian check scammer the same way?

And you know this how?

Nah, I'd rather just buy genuine knives from talented knifemakers. I'll support ingenuity with my dollars.

Now I'm just a country lawyer who didn't go to fancy Ivy League Law School, but where I come from those two are the same thing.
