Free knives to give away

I'm eager to hear what this contest involves! I'm hoping that I'll have a chance to participate, but it'll be fun to watch either way.

Wow, I'd take part to give that one to a friend of mine (so it would even stay in the US).
Hope I won't be as busy as I'm right now, when the contest comes up.

My idea: See who can hit a U.S. quarter at 300 yards with a scoped bolt-action .308
The rifle must be as it came out of the box with no modifications. Your choice of ammunition and position. You get one shot. You supply the rifle and ammunition.

Back-up idea: Everybody provides their own Izula and is locked in a cage. Last one standing wins.

I think it should be a 6inch plate at 50 yards with a 1911.;)

My suggestion:

Pick a different country for each knife and send the knife to a RAT packer in each of those countries. I am willing to be the volunteer for the New Zealand knife!

i would be down with that

however in all fairness the states should probably get more than one pick

Yay, free stuff. Maybe I'll actually win something this time. Now if Bark River started giving away stuff, I'd be over the moon, but they never do. Maybe BRKT should take some lessons from ESEE.

Could you at least let me know the NSN so I can get my Supply type to make the same mistake?

And, since they were Air Force type knives, any "wilderness" test should include ergonomic chairs, air conditioning, and paperwork to be fair.

I made 3 trips to Saudi Arabia for a total of 270 days living in a tent in the desert and one trip to Kuwait for 120 days. No AC for us:mad: I carried a Gerber Mark I in my boot back then. I actually killed a nice 4' pit viper that resembled a western diamond back rattler with it!

how about no guns involved... since that would leave a lot of people out (me :( ) Although I could ask my friend... :D

How about a contest where all we can use is wood and your knife (any ESEE knife), but just one... and either take pics of the process or a small video on youtube...

How about a bow and arrow... just wood and knife and maybe some paracord??? NO MACHINES... Make it so it is workable... In a survival situation where a snare is not catching you anything... maybe a little hunting could work and all you have around is your knife and wood around you and of course your paracord :D

Make it so you can actually shoot it (maybe experienced bow makers should stay out :D or make it a little bit more difficult for them)...

Now, since there are 12 knives (THANK YOU ESEE for this) the better twelve could get a knife....

OR The person who came up with this IDEA can get a knife and the other 11 for the better 11 people...

I don't have a video camera. But not having a gun...I can't imagine .
