I see Joe deleted the video and apologized to Jerry. I hope they figure out why the steel on that knife behaved so badly. Jerry Busse is really cool because he is on the forum and answers all the time. and yes, Joe did the wrong thing by getting personal, I hope it was a bad joke, I usually watch videos without sound and now I read on YouTube what he said specifically. that was wrong of Joe... after tonight I trust this steel and my knives even more than before.

I didn't know he had apologized. That was really all that I was after. And like you, trust INFI even more than I did prior to this whole fiasco. Your videos mean alot to me. Thank you again. May your hell razor serve you well in this life and the next. Cheers Vlad.

He may have thrown them out. If not he would have a small mountain of blade fragments.

n2s
He actually keeps the framents and have used them to make "zombie blade"(framents welded back together) to destroy again.
For instance, he once made a zombie steel eagle (TOPS)

That’s great to hear.

Also I’ve watched the videos you’ve posted and they’re great too. 👍👍

Thanks for recording and posting these tests, and please consider jumping in some water while holding a knife if you want some serious internet fame. ;)

Apologies in advanced if I'm beating a dead horse..

Feel as tho I should reiterate this for the people who want to bring "value" to the table
A lot of commenters voiced how INFI is overpriced but praised the WTG Ares.

Both blades will break cinderblocks and rocks, cut through metal etc.

Ares $288
SK-85 comparable to 1085 or SK5
NOT Stainless and will defiantly rust
56-58 hrc... pretty soft but should sharpen easy
6 month warranty on defects, beyond that you're on your own.
35/38oz ~2.3 pounds or 1kg
$288 that people will gladly throw at it.

For ~$100 more though...

Hellrazor 2
INFI Steel with propriety heat treat
Semi Stainless
58-60 hrc... hard enough to keep an edge very long and still easy to sharpen.
Warranty shmarranty, own that model knife for life or your money back.
18.4 oz ~1.15 lb or .5kg, basically half the weight of the Ares.

That seems like a sweet upgrade for 100 bucks.

I agree, that's why I chose Busse. There are no such knives on the market (I mean handle, guard, weight, dimensions). but Ares is also a cool knife, strong. but too heavy. 56 units is also not bad. By the way, according to official information, Busse steel should have 59 (+-1).

come on, a coated DT-12 was only 255$
which will blow Ares out of water in functionality.

The only complain I have with Busse is low availability, though I know it's inevitable to discontinue old products to make room for new designs

Sorry for Russian, and my bad English

Vlad, you are the man! Thank you for taking the time to record and post these video's. I own a lot of Busse, but you are making me want to buy my first Hell Razor! Cheers bro!

Work Tuff has their K329 knives instead of SK85. K329 is probably the closest steel to modern INFI that you can find.

Well, it's so much better than it was even 10-15 years ago, when getting a busse was like finding a gold nugget.

work tough gear isn’t bad. However, they certainly don’t have warranty nearly as good as busse, that doesn’t stand as a sign of confidence to me.
I have seen alot( they sell them domestically mostly) of Chinese counterfeits using A8(K329) which is suggested by some as very close to INFI,(I think they lack the critical nitrogen), their performance are very poor due to poor heat treat( dents severly on nails). So, before a recent non-fluke busse is tested( I think V Vlad22 has done very well), so uh, a non-fluke AFBM is tested via destruction, and scientifically compared with a WTG similar design on K329, I wouldn’t assume anything.
Yet, by design, DT-12 is definitely more funtional than ARES(tooooo heavy and obtuse)

chinese A8 steel chopping nails etc. terrible performance
only the imperical fact from a scientific test could reveal…which is tougher!😎
