Friends of A. G. Russell

Request incoming, I've never bought any of your knives but often find myself on your website browsing. I have a few things I want to pick up from you soon. =]

I to was honored when i received you friendship request sir i have been a fan long before i ever heard of this place. I have been wondering what i did to receive you request your one of the truly great guys . Thanks Rich

i agree that request made my day!! I grew up circling pictures in your catalog with magic marker to let "Santa" know which ones id like ( inevitably this was all of them) cool to have some interaction with you on this forum.

Friend request recieved, and accepted Mr. Russell. Thank you for taking the time to send them out... There are a lot of great people on BladeForums. While we all have the common bond of knives, time spent here is about more than just the knives.

Gang- This is great! A. G. is Mr. Knife!!
A. G. was one of the folks who helped shape the knife world in to what is is today. Thank you A. G.!!
Rolf

I thought it was pretty friggin cool to get a friend request from a legend in the cutlery business.
Thanks!

That was really something to get a friend request from you Mr. Russell, it made my day!:)

I was very pleased to get your request...I have visited your shop many times and feel strongly that you are a pillar in the knife world.

Count me in as a friend. I look forward to your catalogs, and appreciate the knowledge of knives you share in your descriptions of your knives. Ignore the whiners, nothing ever satisfies them. Keep doing what you do really well, and thanks.

I get your catelog, and I buy from you on a fairly frequent basis. I have always thought of you and your company as 'friends'. :D

Have at least 10 of your knives--always good stuff. You have been added and have a request incoming....

I've already posted here once but after seeing this thread i couldn't stop thinking what A.G. and his catalogs have meant to me so a short story i hope nobody minds. Catalog 1997 Christmas i recently found my old copy was flipping through it looking at the old knives i used to lust after Sydercos Benchmades. When i looked at the front cover it hit me written in pencil in the left side corner is Advil Angie 1 tea 1/2 ts purple this catalog and others got me through a lot of long hard nights my daughter was 6 years old that year then and now she has ear problems then she hardly ever slept at night this brought back so many memories i even remember what particular knife i wanted then a Schatt & Morgan English Jack page 7 never got it of course with two small children wasn't gonna happen but i can see myself holding her reading the descriptions of a particular knife gotta say brought a tear to my eyes. My girls are all grown up and gone now but this catalog brought it all back to me for a little while. Thanks A.G. I am gonna post some pics of the cover and a couple of pages you guys will get a kick out of Monday can't post pics from my phone unless one of you would like to email me and post them for me. Rich

Request sent. I really like your knives, and I browse your knives a lot. As soon as I graduate I'll start to purchase more blades, and some of your blades are high on my list.

Thank you Mr Russell. I only regret that I didn't get to meet you when I was staying in Lowell a while back. Perhaps next time.

I sent my request just now. Hoping to work with you one day :)

Hi Mr. Russell, I'd be honored to be your friend.

I love that folding chef's knife that hopefully is coming out soon!
