Friends of A. G. Russell

Its all AG's fault:D. Some how an AG Russell catalog showed up in my mailbox. I ended up getting a pair of tooth pick lock backs made by AG Russell. One had CF scales and the other G10, both with ATS-34 blades. Great little knives! The addiction started.

I must say I'm a little disappointed....for a brief moment I thought I had done something special to be friended by a legend. Turns out I'm just one of the masses. :D

In seriousness, I'm honored by the request and happy to accept. Looking forward to the next catalog.

It was a bit funny to read the posts attacking you; I have done enough business with you over the years to be able to decide for myself whether it is worthwhile, and as you found out, there are enough people with similar experiences on these forums to hopefully ensure that your business will continue to thrive.

The other day on Sunday morning we were driving down through Rogers AR and I saw your shop. I told my wife we should stop there on the way back through after Christmas. I told her about your good reputation on here and how most who knew you had a ton of respect for you as a person and businessman. Hopefully we can pull off and say howdy on the way north of Friday. We have been down in El Dorado AR visiting over Christmas but need to get home by Saturday evening.

I will be inb the store, or available to the store Thur and Fri and Sat our reguklar hours are 8 30 to a5 and and Sat 9 to 3 I usually get into the office about an hour late. Be happy to meet yoiu and youir family. Folks will tell you that I love to talk knives.

A.G., I will make it a point to come up and shake your hand at next year's Blade Show.
This past year, you were loitering around with that Gibbs character, and Gracious knows I didn't want to be seen with him. :D

Thank you all for becoming my friend, I found about 300 who had spoken for me on this forum and asked them to be my friend, 3-4 declined and about 75 have not responded.

I hope that some of you are watching this thread, I NEED HELP, several months ago I asked about your opinion on three blades for a boot knife. I have not been able to find that thread, can any of you help?

You are right, thank you very much.

The knives are here and will be in a brochure next week then on the email we send then on a catalog cover.

Hi Mr. Russell
Thanks for taking time to visit with us and talk knives. It was fun to listen and take a few minutes to talk to someone who is doing what they love and especially when they have been at it longer than I have been alive. My boys are enjoying finding uses for the Farmer knives we got, they each have a knife or two but the ones we got are a step up from what they have on hand. I hope they build good habits of using quality tools as they grow up and learn to take care of themselves and others. We left and I forgot to ask you if I could pray for you but be assured that I will. I could see how God gave you talents and a wife to walk with you over the years that has been blessed to build a business to provide for you and your family and the team there in Rogers. It is not a small thing to do that in this day and age so I pray that the direction you set in leadership will take root and keep going in family and the folks who work with you there.
