FRN or G10 handles on Spydie ?

Just recently looked at all of the Natives I could find in all the different configurations. I ended up with G10, and really like it, same as the PM2. I gave a couple of the Salt series knives in FRN to friends, and liked the feel of it, but it's not something I would regularly EDC. Thought about a knife I would store in a bag or in the truck as a back-up, and how that is probably what I'd buy my own FRN knife for.

can someone tell me when an FRN handle can become advantageous?

I always seem to gravitate to G10. I like it's feel and grip. I can't help feeling FRN makes the knife seem/feel cheap. But enough are sold that I'm wondering if I'm missing out on something.

is this just about price point and preference or does FRN have performance characteristics worth considering ?

I used to always prefer G10 over FRN if given a choice. However, I got my first Seki City Spyderco recently, and it has FRN scales. They are awesome. They don't feel cheap at all, and the grip is awesome. And weirdly enough for me, they don't make my hands sweat like G10 does.

Not all FRN knives feel as good as this one does. So I'll word it this way: When done right, I am just as happy, or happier, with FRN.

when frn has liners I like it...something like a benchmade bugout I can't stand its horrible imo but my spyderco enduras are awesome and have been a edc for longer than most knives...lightweight, durable and excellent grip. spyderco does quality frn
